🎓💙 A Day to Remember — GSYEP Last Day 💙🎓

We closed out an incredible summer with our amazing GSYEP interns! What better way to begin their last day than with a beautiful prayer led by our very own interns, giving thanks for the experiences, lessons, friendships, and memories made throughout their time with us. 🙏✨

Before saying our goodbyes, each intern received a gift and Certificate of Recognition as a small token of our appreciation for their dedication, hard work, and contributions to the Dededo community. 🎁🏆

To our GSYEP interns, thank you for showing up, stepping up, and giving your best each day. We hope you leave us with more than just work experience, we hope you take with you meaningful memories, valuable lessons, new friendships, and a greater appreciation for serving your community.

We are truly proud of each and every one of you and wish you nothing but success in everything that comes next. Keep learning, keep growing, and keep making a difference! 🌟

🎒📚 Pack to School — Giving Back to Our Community

Our GSYEP interns were proud to participate in “Pack to School,” an intern-led community donation drive focused on helping students and youth in need prepare for the upcoming school year. ✏️🎒📓

As part of this initiative, our interns helped with receiving, organizing, sorting, and packing donated school supplies and backpacks, which were then brought to the Guam State Clearinghouse for distribution to organizations serving our community.

The collected donations supported Guma’ Mina’åse, Harvest House, and DYA, helping provide essential school supplies to the youth and families they serve. ❤️

A huge Si Yu’os Ma’åse’ to everyone who opened their hearts and donated to this important cause! Your generosity helped our interns see firsthand how a simple act of giving can make a meaningful impact.

We are so proud of our GSYEP interns for taking the initiative to give back, serve others, and make a difference in our community. 💙

🎂📚 Welcoming School Year 2026–2027! 🍎✨

On behalf of the Dededo Mayor’s Office and the Dededo Municipal Planning Council (DMPC), we are proud to continue our annual tradition of visiting and presenting a cake to all 12 schools in Dededo. 🎂🏫

This small gesture is our way of welcoming our school administrators, teachers, staff, and students back for another exciting school year. We wish every school a safe, successful, and meaningful 2026–2027 school year! 📖✏️

May this new school year be filled with learning, growth, new opportunities, and success for every student in our community. 💙

PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE PARTIALLY RESCINDED
Earlier this evening, the Guam Waterworks Authority (GWA) received concurrence from the
Guam Environmental Protection Agency (GEPA) to partially rescind the Precautionary Boil Water Notice (PBWN) issued on July 8, 2026.

Effective immediately, the PBWN remains in effect for only:

• Areas around Home Center, Dededo
• Cruz Street across Commercial Tire Depot Tire (lower Barrigada Heights)
• Route 8, Subway to KFC/Shell Gas station
• Areas surrounding Dimas Street, Mangilao

For customers in the areas listed above, is MANDATORY to boil your water and are advised:

• DO NOT DRINK THE WATER WITHOUT BOILING IT FIRST.
• Bring all water to a boil, let it boil for three (3) minutes, and let it cool before using.
• Boiled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes
and food preparation until further notice.
• Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water

A sustained loss of pressure within the distribution system may result in potential, but unconfirmed, bacterial contamination of drinking water. Bacterial contamination can occur when increased run-off enters the drinking water source, if line pressure drops below 5 psi, during prolonged or sustained loss of service, or from failure in the water treatment process.
