On August 19, Consul-General Ueda attended the “Pacific Hotel & Restaurant Expo (PHARE) 2026” hosted by the Guam Hotel and Restaurant Association.
With over 40 exhibitors showcasing the latest products for restaurants, food service operations, and tourism-related businesses, the event drew a lively crowd consisting of a wide range of attendees, including hospitality industry employees and students. Two members of the Shizuoka Prefectural Assembly and seven buyers from Japan also participated in this year's expo, demonstrating a strong interest to strengthen Japan-Guam economic cooperation.

８月１９日、上田総領事は、グアム・ホテル・レストラン協会が主催する「パシフィック・ホテル＆レストラン・エキスポ2026（PHARE 2026）」に出席しました。会場には、40以上の企業が出展し、レストラン、フードサービス事業等の製品が展示され、サービス業界従業員や学生などの幅広い層の来場者で賑わいました。本イベントは日-グアム経済協力の一環として行われたもので、日本からは、静岡県議会議員や7名のバイヤーが参加しました。

The event provided an opportunity to meet U.S. Air Force personnel, view military aircraft up close, and engage with members of the local community. Consul-General Ueda and Mrs. Ueda attended the Liberation Day Mass and Unified Memorial Ceremony on July 21, together with representatives of the Japanese community in Guam. The ceremony honored those who lost their lives during the war and offered prayers for peace and reconciliation.

Consul-General Ueda attended the 2026 War Survivors’ Remembrance Day Mass on June 28th at the Dulce Nombre de Maria Cathedral Bascilica in Hagatna. Following the mass, Consul General Ueda also attended the resolution presentation ceremony hosted by members of the 38th Guam Legislature at the Guam Congress Building. The annual observance recognizes Guam’s war survivors and their families who endured great suffering and hardship as a result of the war.

　上田総領事は、6月28日、ハガニアのドゥルセ・ノンブレ・デ・マリア大聖堂で執り行われた2026年戦争生存者追悼ミサに参列しました。
　ミサ終了後、上田総領事は、グアム議会において第38期グアム議会主催の決議書贈呈式にも出席しました。
　この年次行事は、戦争によって多大な苦難と犠牲を経験したグアムの戦争生存者とそのご家族を顕彰し、その歩みをたたえることを目的として開催されています。
