Today we celebrate 26 years of selfless service, leadership, and dedication from Ryan Pillow as he retires from the Fire Service.
From his first days as a rookie firefighter to serving as Assistant Chief of Operations, and ultimately retiring as Assistant Chief of Health and Safety, Ryan’s career has been defined by his unwavering commitment to protecting both the community and the people beside him.
Ryan’s impact goes far beyond ranks and titles. He mentored generations of firefighters, led from the front during some of the toughest moments, and always put others before himself. His leadership style earned respect not because he demanded it, but because he lived it every single day.
Whether on the fireground, in the station, or advocating for the health and safety of firefighters, Ryan made people better. His legacy will be measured not only in years of service, but in the countless lives he influenced along the way.
Thank you, Chief Pillow, for 26 years of sacrifice, courage, and heart. The fire service is better because of you. Congratulations on your retirement it is well earned and deeply deserved.
