Guyana Online Academy of Learning

Launched in 2021, GOAL is an initiative of the Government of Guyana to provide 20 000 scholarships to Guyanese to pursue online, tertiary level programmes via partnerships with reputable international universities. GOAL, through partnerships with several international Universities provide a myriad of pertinent academic and vocational programmes: Certificate, Diploma, Bachelors, Postgraduate, Maste

rs, and Doctorate. The primary objective is to deliver 20,000 scholarships by 2025 through a collaboration of agencies including the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Public Service and the Ministry of Labour. Since its launch in 2021, GOAL has already awarded approximately 13,000+ scholarships to Guyanese from every region, and village. GOAL currently partners with 15 institutions around the world to offer more than 184 programmes for all categories of learners. Institutional partners include: AA Maritime and Offshore Training Institute (Guyana), International University of Applied Science (Germany), Jain Deemed-to-be University (India), Indira Gandhi National Open University (India), Sherlock Institute of Forensic Science (India), 3T-EnerMech (Guyana), University of the West Indies (Open Campus), University of Southern Caribbean (Trinidad and Tobago), Texila American University (Guyana), Georgetown American University (Guyana), Universidad Isabel I - Structuralia (Spain), and UNICAF Partners (Liverpool John Moores University, University of East London, Unicaf University - Zambia, Unicaf University - Malawi).
