On Thursday 25th, April 2024 our group was re-engaged in a simple but yet effective training session with our dear friend, Nathan from the US Army and NYPD. Two years ago in 2022 Nathan did an extensive training with us on Baton use and apprehension. Today, he was able to cover detainee searching and how to properly use the handcuff. Thank you, Nathan!

Thanks to all members who came out and supported!

On Monday 2nd October, our group along with Ms. Marlyn Omar, a Survivor Advocate attached to the Ministry of Human Services collaborated on an outreach at the Soesdyke Post Office while senior citizens were awaiting their pension.
This outreach saw senior citizens receiving a meal for the morning wait, and being sensitized about their rights, domestic violence and various forms of abuse that may affect them.

Gratitude is expressed to the Ministry of Human Services and Social Security, Ms. Marlyn Omar and the staff at Soesdyke Post Office.

For the Month of August, we held our statutory meeting where some of the main issues discussed were security around Soesdyke and Domestic Violence reports we have received. So far, two young women were taken out of abusive environments and provided with legal aide, as the perpetrators are actively being sought.

During a quick visit back to the Farm Track Community, we noticed that the pleas of the residents have been met. Last year we visited this area and interacted with residents who shared concerns about their roads, lights and basic security at nights. They now have better roads and a safer way to commute... thanks to the Hon. Bishop Juan Edghill and Hon. Nigel Dharamlall.
