7. The due enforcement of all laws and regulationswith which it is directly charged and shall perform such military duties within Guyanaas maybe required of it by or under the authority of the Minister. AIM | Our Services will be aimed at:
1. Respecting and recognising human rights;
2. Working with all communities to develop policing services necessary and appropriate to those communities;
3. Building partnerships with all sectors of Guyana Society, including Commercial
and Voluntary Groups;
4. Working to develop Community Policing Programmes in conjunction with
Community Policing Groups;
5. Improving working relationships with other agencies within the Justice Sector and
other Government Departments to improve inter-agency achievements;
6. Establishing enhanced working relationships with regional law enforcement
agencies; and
7. Building a Police Force that through the correct training, access to the right
equipment and technologies and adherence to standards will better serve the

2. Development of our staff with the right skills to undertake their role effectively in
the context of modern policing;

In effort to bring smiles to the faces of children.

On 2023-04-06 Inspector Chunia of La Grange Traffic Department, Sergeant 17753 Naraine, Corporals 19830 Singh, Beresford and two other ranks of Leonora Traffic Department, distributed four hundred and eighty kites within the No.1 Sub Region to partake in the Easter celebration.

The ranks were applauded for the act of kindness shown to the children as they celebrated Easter within the next few days.

They were told to fly their kites away from electric wires and to do so in open spaces.

On 2023-04-06 Guyana’s very own West Indies renowned Cricketer Kemo Paul and the Management of Fatboy General Store Vreed-En-Hoop, West Coast Demerara, donated one Microwave and Water Dispenser to staffs of Zara Computer Centre, Leonora Police Station, West Coast Demerara.

The hand over presentation was done in the Regional Conference Room to Senior Superintendent K. Mandall and Sergeant Allen on behalf of the Regional Commander Region No.3 Assistant Commissioner M. Siwnarine.

These items will be beneficial to the staffs and properly maintained.

The staffs thanked the donors for their generosity and acknowledgement.

Youth Group Launched
On 2023-04-03 between 16:00 hrs and 17:00 hrs Sergeant 21458 Timmerman Subordinate Officer in-charge of Leguan Police Station, officially launched a Group Program at Greens Park Ground, Leguan Island with thirty youths.

Sergeant Timmerman in his opening remarks encouraged the youths to make use of all the opportunities afforded to them through the Guyana Police Force.

Youth is a worthwhile phase of one’s life.

Todays youths are in a haste of accomplishing different things and is so driven towards achieving them.

He also spoke to them on what is expected of them as members of the Police Youth Group such as their discipline.

Mrs. Fajina Khan, leader of the Progressive Woman’s Association of Leguan Island also appeal to the youths to take up their mantle and be good role models within their community.

Mandall, Officer in charge of No.2 Sub Region Assistant Superintendent K. Williams, Chief Inspector C. Humphrey Inspector in-charge of Wales Police Station, Corporal Bechnie Subordinate Officer in-charge of the said station, Woman Inspector S.Noble, other ranks and Mr. Eldon Mc Gregor Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of First Defence Security Service, distributed kites to children of Belle West Phase 2, Canal No.2 Polder, West Bank Demerara and Vreed-en-Hoop Jetty Area respectively, West Coast Demerara.

Easter celebrates resurrection, which is symbolic of his crucifixion.

Kite flying symbolizes the ascension of Jesus into heaven, which is celebrated throughout the world.

This initiative will give the children the opportunity to start the celebration in advance.

Parents and children thanked Commander and team for their consideration and acknowledged them as they look forward to celebrating Christ resurrection within the next few days.

That part of the state which extends from the Atlantic Ocean at its northern extremity to the Arobaio, Makouria and Tiger Rivers and the watershed between the Essequibo and Demerara Rivers and the Essequibo and Cuyuni Rivers at its southern extremity and from the Demerara River at its eastern extremity to mean low water mark of the Essequibo River and the watershed between the tributaries of the Essequibo and Supenaam Rivers at western extremity.
