7. The due enforcement of all laws and regulationswith which it is directly charged and shall perform such military duties within Guyanaas maybe required of it by or under the authority of the Minister. AIM | Our Services will be aimed at:
1. Respecting and recognising human rights;
2. Working with all communities to develop policing services necessary and appropriate to those communities;
3. Building partnerships with all sectors of Guyana Society, including Commercial
and Voluntary Groups;
4. Working to develop Community Policing Programmes in conjunction with
Community Policing Groups;
5. Improving working relationships with other agencies within the Justice Sector and
other Government Departments to improve inter-agency achievements;
6. Establishing enhanced working relationships with regional law enforcement
agencies; and
7. Building a Police Force that through the correct training, access to the right
equipment and technologies and adherence to standards will better serve the

*Community Outreach*

On Wednesday 12th of April, 2023 between 11:00 hours to 12:15 hours a Community Outreach was held in Onderneeming Sand Pit, at the Community Centre by Sergeant 20887 Ramkissoon the Subordinate Officer in charge of Suddie Police Station, Corporal 21159 Durant, Constable 22529 Livan, Constable 25109 Whyte, Constable 25555 Tucker, Neighbourhood Police Brumell and Rural Constable Rasool, The following issues were raised by the residence of the Community.
* Request for Police to extend their boundaries to the Hot and Cold Lake
* Persons driving unlicensed motorcycles in Community
* People from other communities ventured into their community and creating problems.
* Smoking of illegal Substance by youths
* Underage girls and boys roaming the village
*Noise Nuisance by Mr. Tang every night.
* Illegal selling of alcohol in the community.
* Truck drivers driving recklessly in sand pit road
* Truck trays not covered, when transporting sand.
*RESPONSE*
Concerned residents were informed based on the issues discussed systems will be put in place to address same.

*Youth Awareness Program*
On Wednesday 12th April 2023 between 10:15 hours and 12:30 hours, a 'Youth Empowerment Program' (YEP) was held in Regional Police Division (RPD) No.2 for the members of the Region Police Youth Groups at the Richard Faikall Police Training College (RFPTC).
A total of fifty-one (51) youths attended from the following groups.
* Good Hope
* Dartmouth
* Anna Regina/Henrietta
* Charity
* Zorg
* Onderneeming
Two Lectures were done,
*Child Abuse which was done by representatives of the Child Care and Protection Agency ( CCPA) by
* Ms. Cameal Jeffrey
* Tannecisa Singh.

*Domestic Violence was done by W/Special Inspector Deborah Carvan.

The Program was coordinated by the Community Relations Officer (CRO) Asp. L. Durga and her team in addressing issues and concerns that likely affected youths in general.
The sessions were informative and interactive,
The facilitators interacted with the children which make them comfortable to ask questions and make contributions.
The members were also advised by the Representatives of the Child Care and Protection Agency that if they have knowledge of person or persons in abusive situations they can help.
They must feel free to reach them or call on 227-0979 or 914 which is Toll-free.

Michael Domingo Male Amerindian age 37 years a fisherman of Sans Souci, Wakanaam Island was arrested on Friday 7th of April 2023, for Possession of Narcotic for the Purpose of Trafficking: Contrary to Section 5 (1) (a) (i) of the Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substance Control Act, chapter 10/10 and Possession of Utensil used in connection with smoking: Contrary to Section 12 (1) (d) (i) of the Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substance Control Act, chapter 10/10.

On Tuesday 11th 2023, he appeared at the Anna Regina Magistrate's Court before Her Worship Miss Crystal Lambert where the charges were read to him virtually and he pleaded guilty to both offences. He was sentenced to twelve (12) months imprisonment on suspension for two (2) years and fined $30.000 GC for the matter of Possession of Narcotics for the Purpose of Trafficking and fined $30.000 for the offence of Possession of Smoking Utensil.

Shawn English Male African age 52 years a Vendor of Lot 410 Charity Housing Scheme, Essequibo Coast was arrested on the 10th of April 2023, for Possession of Narcotic Contrary to Section 4 (1) (a) (i) of the Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substance Control Act, chapter 10/10 to wit 4.4 grams of cannabis.

On Tuesday 11th of April 2023, he appeared at the Anna Regina Magistrate's Court before Her Worship Miss Crystal Lambert where the charge was read to him and he pleaded guilty.
He was fined $30.000 together with forty (40) hours of community Service at the Charity Police Station.

On Sunday 9th of April 2023, between 11:00 hours and 12:20 hours, a kite distribution was done at 'Mashabo Mission' by Asp. G. John, Sergeant 18586 Da Silva, Sergeant 20887 Ramkissoon, and Pandit Sharma a member of the Cops and Faith network in Mashabo Mission where kites were distributed to children of the Mission and they welcome the distribution team with joy and thank them for the venture.

John, Sergeant 18586 Da silva Subordinate Officer in charge of Aurora Police Station, Sergeant 20887 Ramkissoon Subordinate Officer in charge of Suddie Police Station and Pandit Sharma a member of the Region's Cops and Faith visited the Bethany Mission Supenaam Creek, where they distributed kites to children of the Mission and along the creek.
Villagers were happy while the children were excited to have a kite of their own.

On Saturday 8th of April 2023, between 11:50 hours and 18:30 hours, Inspector in charge of Charity Police Station R. Ramnarine, Sergeant 21361 Sealy, W/Corporal 22242 Sutton, Constable 25763 Ramotar, W/ Constable 25903 Collins, and W/Constable 25954 Deonarine of the Immigration Department in Regional Police Division (RPD) visited the following riverine areas and held a Kite's distribution as follows:
* Siriki sands
* Kabakaburi Mission
* St Monica Mission Upper Pomeroon River
Children benefited from the police division Kite distribution activities which reach out to the Hinterland and not only the Coast land.
During the distribution, ranks interacted with children present at each distribution area and allow them to have a kite for the Easter holiday. The Toshaos and residents in the various communities were thankful for the gesture by the distribution team.

*Interfaith Service*
On Friday 7th of April 2023, between 07:15 hours and 08:50 hours, Regional Police Division (RPD) N0.2 held its monthly 'Interfaith Service' at the Regional Police Division Headquarters.
Chairing the Service was Deputy Commander Dsp. C.Duncan
The ceremony begins with opening prayers by members of the Region Cops and Faith:
* Pastor Ally
* Pandit Sharma
* Brother Mohamed
And followed by the National Pledge.
A song was done by Lance Corporal 23072 Blair and readings of the scriptures by Constable 25451 Hartman.
The religious leaders from the three (3) main dominations spoke about the auspicious day of observing ' Good Friday' a day when everyone's should remember the sacrifice made by God's son 'Jesus.
Further, they emphasize living, working, love, peace, unity, and respect for each other, since everyone is God's child with an aim and objectives throughout their journey.
Attending were Regional Police Commander Superintendent K. Shivbaran, and Deputy Commander Dsp. C Duncan, other officers, Inspectors, Subordinate Officers, and ranks from the various departments within the regional Police Division.
