MISSION STATEMENT | The Mission of the Guyana Police Force and its Auxiliaries is to serve all citizens and communities of Guyana in a professional, pro-active and accountable manner. To achieve this we will work in partnership with communities, public agencies and private bodies to enhance and support an environment where all people are preventing crime and buildin

7. The due enforcement of all laws and regulationswith which it is directly charged and shall perform such military duties within Guyanaas maybe required of it by or under the authority of the Minister. AIM | Our Services will be aimed at:
1. Respecting and recognising human rights;
2. Working with all communities to develop policing services necessary and appropriate to those communities;
3. Building partnerships with all sectors of Guyana Society, including Commercial
and Voluntary Groups;
4. Working to develop Community Policing Programmes in conjunction with
Community Policing Groups;
5. Improving working relationships with other agencies within the Justice Sector and
other Government Departments to improve inter-agency achievements;
6. Establishing enhanced working relationships with regional law enforcement
agencies; and
7. Building a Police Force that through the correct training, access to the right
equipment and technologies and adherence to standards will better serve the

1. Recruitment of suitably qualified persons for the Force recognising our people are
our most important asset;
2. Development of our staff with the right skills to undertake their role effectively in
the context of modern policing;

YOUTH GROUP ACTIVITIES ONGOING AT TURKEYEN POLICE STATION. (PEP TALK/LUDO COMPETITION)

Be respectful. Be discipline. Develop yourself academically. Use the roadways safely.

Those were just a few word of advise given to the members of the Turkeyen Police Station Youth Group by the Officer in Charge of No. 3 Sub-Division, Deputy Superintendent Fredericks on Wednesday 12th April, 2023.

At the conclusion, a game of Ludo was played. The Sophia High Flyers emerged the winners 🏆

Several parents of the members were also present.

They lauded the Police for the initiative and pledged their continued support for future ventures.

Today ( Saturday 8th April 2023) Ministers of Government and Commander Regional Division4'A' led a massive kite distribution drive throughout the Division. Officers, Inspectors, Subordinate Officers, other ranks, members of Community Policing Groups, Station Management Committees, Faith Base Leaders and members from the corporate sector were also involved in the distribution drive.

Corporate sector synergized with Police to do kite distribution drive.

On March 31, 2023 the proprietor of Giftland Mall donated two hundred kites to the Police in Regional Division 4 'A'.

The proprietor noted that, it is customary for the company to collaborate with the Guyana Police Force during these seasons as it puts smiles on the faces of children.The kites will be distributed to children during a Kite distribution drive.

Woman Assistant Superintendent Blair -Mc Gregor received the kites on behalf of the Commander and expressed gratitude for the timely gesture on behalf of the Force Administration.

The Guyana Police Force and its partners continue to work together to minimize social ills affecting young people and children in various communities.

“Easter is meant to be a Symbol of hope,renewal, and new life”.

Be aware that on April 4, 2023 from 11:00am to 1:00pm, Inspector Henry, Woman Sergeant Hale, Corporal Herbert, and other ranks of the CID number two Sub - Division conducted a Kite distribution exercise in Meadow Brook Squatting area and Meadow Brook, where children received a kites.

The significance of Easter was explained to the children, and they were reminded to fly their kites away from power lines, in open spaces.

The kites distributed were donated by " Why Pay Extra Trading".

Station Management Committee made donations to the Police.

On April 2, 2023 the East Ruimveldt Police Outpost Station Management Committee donated one refrigerator and a wireless printer to the East Ruimveldt Police Outpost.

The timely and laudable gesture by the Committee came as a result of a needs assessment for the Outpost done by the Committee. A fund raiser was done to aid with purchasing the items.

Sargeant 16808 Hinds, Sergeant in Charge of the East Ruimveldt Police Outpost received the items on behalf of the Police Outpost. He expressed gratitude on behalf of the Commander and His Admin team.

Our Station Management Committees are responsible for aiding with Quality Service Delivery at Stations.

Mr. Simon Mc Bean, Assistant Commissioner, Commander Regional Division 4’A' Visited Agricola Practical Institute.

The purpose of visit by the Commander to the Institution was to access the ongoing life skills training program ongoing at the institute. A collaborative initiative between the Guyana Police Force and the Agricola Practical Institute.

The objective of the program is to have participants equipped with the revelant knowledge and skill in " Catering". The program is of a six weeks duration, participants are expected to attend daily for training.

To date, the participants were given training in the following areas; sanitizing the working area and utensils, preparation for large scale catering and pastry making. The participants were also given recipes for several dishes and pastries.

Visiting with the Commander were Woman Assistant Superintendent Mrs. L Blair-McGregor, Officer in Charge Turkeyen Police Station, Woman Assistant Superintendent, A Scipo. Officer in charge Community Relations Department.

The Guyana Police Force and it's Stakeholders continue to effortlessly and proactively promote and practice "safe communities for all. While crime will not be totally eradicated, partnering with Key Stakeholders has seen a vast reduction in crime and social ills affecting our communities.

Together we can maintain a safe community and by extension a safe country.
