Addressing , Roberto Valent, Director of the UN Development Coordination Office for Latin America and the Caribbean said the new cooperation framework that will guide UN partnership and development support in the Caribbean for the next five years must be ‘fit for purpose’ if it is to provide Caribbean countries with the support needed to achieve medium to long-term development goals.

This, he said, requires the cooperation framework to be be forward-looking flexible, strategic and able to help countries navigate uncertainty while accelerating progress towards sustainable development.
