📢 CCAC CONDUCTING BUSINESS INSPECTIONS IN MABARUMA

Investigators from the Competition and Consumer Affairs Commission (CCAC) are currently in the Mabaruma community conducting business inspections to assess compliance with the Consumer Affairs Act No. 13 of 2011.

The exercise forms part of the Commission’s ongoing efforts to promote fair trading practices and protect consumer rights across Guyana. Businesses found to be operating in accordance with the provisions of the Act will be issued Certificates of Compliance.

The CCAC encourages all businesses to adhere to the consumer protection laws and regulations.

Business Inspection, Region 9, Lethem|
Officers from the CCAC are currently engaged in the inspection of businesses in Region 9, Lethem.

Inspections are done to ensure that businesses meet the requirements of the Consumer Affairs Act, and those found in conformance are issued certificates of compliance.

Those who are non-compliant are coached and given a period to come into conformance for re-inspection.

The process ensures that consumers in Lethem are protected from unfair practices, while businesses gain credibility through certification.
