From concept to implementation, the Level One Aircraft Maintenance Foundation Skills Programme has now produced its first graduating cohort.

Yesterday, 15 young people from Regions One and Two officially received certification through the Board of Industrial Training’s collaboration with the Art Williams and Harry Wendt Aeronautical Engineering School, following months of specialised training at the Essequibo Technical Institute.

This milestone reflects BIT’s continued commitment to decentralising technical and vocational education and ensuring that young people across Guyana have access to industry-relevant skills training. With Guyana’s aviation and transportation sectors continuing to expand, programmes like these are creating new pathways to employment, economic participation, and national development.
