Thundershowers over the Essequibo Islands and Region 7 - Heavy showers and thundershowers are currently affecting the Essequibo Islands.

These conditions are expected to persist for the next 2 to 3 hours. There is the potential for strong wind gusts and lightning during thundershowers and periods of heavy rainfall. This line of convective activity is expected to move further Inland as the afternoon progresses.
