The Ministry of Communities, Department of Housing, invites you to join us as a sponsor for the inaugural “Housing Solutions 2017 and Beyond” Expo, being held from May 26th through 29th 2017. This Expo will shed light on the new direction the Government is moving in, with regard to providing affordable, cohesive and sustainable housing solutions for all citizens. This new concept seeks to expand t
he range of affordable housing solutions while giving Guyanese an opportunity to buy into these new initiatives. These new housing solutions will be on display during the expo and will be sold following the conclusion of the Expo. The demonstration/model village will be constructed to capture the various new initiatives, including condominiums, duplexes and town houses. In February 2016, CHPA invited Expressions of Interest from interested developers who have the ability to design, finance and construct two and three bedrooms houses (600 sq. The developers will be assigned to lots in the area on which they will construct the houses, which they will be allowed to sell, after the exhibition, to eligible persons on the CHPA waiting list and prequalified for mortgages by the commercial banks. Developers who participate will also be given the opportunity to show case their building systems, methodology for construction and other features of home construction. Suppliers of building materials will also be invited to participate. The Perseverance location is chosen since the layout accommodates approximately 570 lots and is currently a work-in-progress for the establishment of a community. There are already a total of 200 houses at varying stages of completion at the location; with provision for approx. The layout also provides for reserve sites for community facilities.
