MISSION STATEMENT | The Mission of the Guyana Police Force and its Auxiliaries is to serve all citizens and communities of Guyana in a professional, pro-active and accountable manner. To achieve this we will work in partnership with communities, public agencies and private bodies to enhance and support an environment where all people are preventing crime and buildin

7. The due enforcement of all laws and regulationswith which it is directly charged and shall perform such military duties within Guyanaas maybe required of it by or under the authority of the Minister. AIM | Our Services will be aimed at:
1. Respecting and recognising human rights;
2. Working with all communities to develop policing services necessary and appropriate to those communities;
3. Building partnerships with all sectors of Guyana Society, including Commercial
and Voluntary Groups;
4. Working to develop Community Policing Programmes in conjunction with
Community Policing Groups;
5. Improving working relationships with other agencies within the Justice Sector and
other Government Departments to improve inter-agency achievements;
6. Establishing enhanced working relationships with regional law enforcement
agencies; and
7. Building a Police Force that through the correct training, access to the right
equipment and technologies and adherence to standards will better serve the

“Kite Distribution”

Day three (3) as Regional Police Division #10 Commander Mr. H. Winter continued his mission along with his Administrative Team putting smiles on little faces throughout Region #10.

On Thursday 6th April, 2023, Mr. Winter along with his Deputy Commander Mr. Austin and other ranks journeyed by boat to the riverine community of Muritaro and Malali Upper Demerara River, where they distributed over two hundred and fifty (250) kites and several footballs to the children of those communities respectively.

This initiative was done in recognition of the upcoming Easter Holiday where kites would normally fill the sky creating a colourful effect or atmosphere which symbolize the "Resurrection of Christ".

While at Malali Commander Winter and his visiting team played a game of Volleyball with members of the community and took the time to encouraged the children to refrain from flying their kites unsupervised, close to electrical wires, near creeks and rivers because safety is vital and ensure that they have clean and safe fun.

The children were extremely happy to receive their kites and footballs from the Police and extended their gratitude to Commander Winter and his Admin Team for such gesture.

“Youth Group Activity Held”

On Saturday 1st April, 2023, the Coomacka Mines Police Youth Group held a session at the Coomacka Resource Center.

Activity done;

-Demonstration of framing a etea pointer kite.(full star).

-What type of etea pointer should be cut to make such.

-Shaving and shaping pointer.

-How to bore and arrange pointer

-Which tread is preferable and why it must be use.

Participants;

-Eighteen (18)members

-Two (2) group leaders
Mrs. N.Daw and Mrs. M.Hartman.

It was a parent who volunteered his time to give full demonstration on how to make a kite.

It was a pleasure to have him and he expressed his happiness to share his knowledge with the youths.

On 2023/04/05, Asst. Superintendent Vaughn, Officer in Charge of #1 Sub-Division, Sub-Divisional #1 Inspector Chand, Inspector Matthews, Court Superintendent and Sergeant #19233 Jackson Station Sergeant held an inspection with ranks from McKenzie Police Station, Amelia’s Ward Police Outpost, Bamia Police Checkpoint and Immigration Region #10 in the Mckenzie Police Station compound.

The ranks were briefed on;

-The upcoming Nomination Day on the 17th April, 2023.

-Local Government Election on the 12th June, 2023.

-Ranks reporting sick out of the station district without giving permission to leave.

-Appearance and Conduct.

-Preparedness for the upcoming Linden Town Week duties.

On the inspection four ranks were highlighted as “Outstanding”, these ranks are;

On 2023.04.05, A.S.P Holder, O/C No.3 Sub-Division and Sgt. 17630 Williams held a Quarterly Inspection with ranks Stationed at Kwakwani Police Station.

The following topics were discussed with the ranks by O/C No.3 Sub-Division;

1. Local government election on the 12th June, 2023.

2. Nomination Day on the 17th April, 2023.

3. Force will be inlyn on Monday 10th April, 2023.

4. Roving patrol from the 7th - 9th April, 2023.

On Wednesday 5th April, 2023, C/Inspector M. Lyte, O/C No. 2 Sub-Division held an inspection with ranks of the Wismar Police Station, Wisroc Police Outpost and Special Constabulary at the Wismar Police Station Compound.

The ranks were briefed on;

-Appearance and Conduct

On 2023-04-04 Assistant Superintendent P. Holder, O/C No. 3 Subdivision inspected the ranks of the Ituni Police Station along with the building, compound and barrack rooms and found same to be clean and tidy.

A meeting was then held with the ranks and the following was discussed;

1. The upcoming Nomination on the 17th April, 2023

2. Local Government Election on the 12th June, 2023

3. Visit by Commander Regional Division #10 and Admin Team

4. Courtesy, conduct and taking of disciplinary action against members of the Force.

“Kite Distribution”

Day two (2) as Regional Commander #10 Mr. H. Winter continued his mission to spread Easter joy across the region.

On Tuesday 4th April, 2023, Senior Superintendent H. Winter along with his Administrative Team ventured off into the #3 Sub-Division where they distributed kites to the children within the areas of;

-Ituni
-Kwakwani

On the said date Sergeant Alexander the subordinate officer in charge of the Mabura Police Station along with one of his rank distributed kites to the children of the said station district.

“Kite Distribution in Regional Police Division #10”

Mr. H. Winter, Regional Commander along with his Administrative Team and other ranks embarked on a mission to put smiles on the little faces of various communities within linden as they distributed over four hundred (400) kites and ice cream.

On Monday 3rd April, 2023, Mr. Winter and his team spent the entire day within the communities of;

-Amelia’s Ward
-Victory Valley
-Half Mile
-Wisroc

This venture saw persons from the various communities expressing their gratitude towards the annual kite distribution.
