As we close the month of August and welcome September, yesterday the Village Council in collaboration with the Roman Catholic Church, the Seventh Day Adventist church and the Church of Christ of Sand Creek village, held an Interfaith Service at the village benab. Our villagers came together to sing, read scriptures, reflect and pray as a community. We enter September acknowledging the almighty first before going ahead with our activities 🙏

All are invited for our Village Heritage Celebrations. See you at our village benab on Friday the 11th and Saturday the 12th of September 2026. The program begins at 9am on both days and there will be lot's of traditional activities to be part of.

Paying Our Final Respects to the late Mr. Azaaz Bacchus (March 1, 1975 – July 18, 2026)

​Today, as the late Mr Bacchus was laid to his eternal rest, the Sand Creek community comes together in spirit to honour his life and legacy.
​Though he was not born or raised in Sand Creek, Azaaz chose our village as his home and became an integral part of our community family. As a dedicated local businessman, he gave selflessly toward the development and progress of our village, always stepping forward whenever help was needed.
​The Sand Creek Rodeo Committee holds deep gratitude for the vital role the late Mr. Bacchus played during the early stages of our rodeo’s development. His early support, vision, and dedication helped lay the foundation for an event that brings our entire community together today.

​As he is laid to rest, we extend our heartfelt sympathies and prayers to his family, especially his beloved children. May you find comfort, peace, and strength in knowing how much he was valued and respected by those whose lives he touched.
​Rest peacefully, Mr. Azaaz. Forever in our hearts, never forgotten. 🕊️
