【🗻 觸感東京：Catherine 登上富士山，為 BVI 慈善籌款】

熱愛旅行的視障朋友 Catherine，在視力逐漸下降的過程中，親身體會到一個問題：

當山峰、建築和城市地標主要透過視覺呈現，視障旅人可以如何真正探索和理解一個地方？

今年夏天，Catherine 與 BVI 攜手展開「Project Touch Tokyo」，製作東京及富士山觸感旅遊圖冊，把富士山、東京鐵塔、淺草寺及澀谷等地標轉化成可觸摸、可探索的旅遊體驗。

今次，她更會親自踏上富士山，並藉旅程為 BVI 籌款。

善款將支持觸感旅遊資源的設計、測試及製作，以及未來由 Catherine 分享自身旅遊經驗的社區及教育活動。

我們希望，觸感不只是讓視障朋友「看見」富士山，更讓他們可以探索、選擇、建立自己的旅遊記憶。

接下來，我們會每日在 BVI 社交平台更新 Catherine 的旅程進度。

【🗻 Project Touch Tokyo: Catherine Takes Mount Fuji for Accessible Travel】

Catherine is a passionate traveller with visual impairment who has experienced firsthand how difficult it can be to explore places that are communicated mainly through sight.

This summer, Catherine and BVI are launching Project Touch Tokyo, creating a tactile travel guidebook featuring Mount Fuji, Tokyo Tower, Sensoji and Shibuya, making these landmarks more accessible through touch.

She will also take on Mount Fuji herself while raising funds for BVI.

Funds raised will support the design, testing and production of tactile travel resources, as well as future community and educational activities where Catherine can share her lived experience.

Our goal is not only to help VI travellers understand the shape of a place, but to give them more ways to explore, make choices and create their own travel memories.

We will be sharing daily updates on Catherine’s journey through BVI’s social platforms.

Follow her journey and support more VI travellers in exploring the world in their own way!

We believe that access to visual information, particularly Arts, Culture, Education & Traveling is a universal human right. BVI is a non-profit organization that aims to enhance the quality of life of the visually impaired community via inclusive design.

Beyond Vision International (BVI) 非常榮幸再次與 French May 法國五月 合作，為其年度展覽擔任通達夥伴。在這趟藝術旅程中，我們透過精心設計的通達導賞團與觸感工作坊，為視障朋友和公眾創造動人的共融時刻：

🤝 打破界限的感官共融 指尖上的文藝復興

視障朋友不再只是「聽」藝術，突破枷鎖，透過專屬觸感圖冊與立體模型，配合導賞員精心準備的口述影像與講解，親手觸摸蒙娜麗莎的微笑與大師級筆觸細節。有參加者回饋：「 活動很有意義，認識更多歷史，可以透過觸感圖了解文藝復興如及達文西如何去畫蒙羅麗莎的畫像。」

健視的參加者也透過觸覺體驗，重塑觀看的方式，認識視障社群的視角，體會到原來不靠雙眼，也能感受到藝術的生命力。

【Successful Wrap-up: Accessible Services for "The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: Meet Mona Lisa & Portraying the Renaissance" | When art transcends sight, TOUCH becomes our shared language 🎨✨】

Beyond Vision International (BVI) was honoured to collaborate once again with the French May Arts Festival as the Accessibility Partner for this flagship exhibition. Throughout this artistic journey, we created meaningful moments of inclusion for both visually impaired individuals and the general public through meticulously designed accessible guided tours and experiential workshops:

🤝 Sensory Inclusion Breaking Barriers, The Renaissance at Your Fingertips

Visually impaired participants no longer just "listened" to art, breaking free from limitations; they touched the subtle lines of Mona Lisa’s iconic smile and the master’s intricate brushstrokes, using Tactile Graphics, 3D models, and docent's detailed audio descriptions. One participant shared: "This event was truly meaningful. I learned so much history and was able to understand Leonardo da Vinci's composition of the Mona Lisa and the Renaissance through tactile graphics.

Sighted participants also experienced art through touch, reshaping how they perceive, gaining insight into the perspective of the visually impaired community, and discovering that art's vitality can be deeply felt even without eyes.

💡 Given appropriate assistive tools and inclusive design, everyone—whether visually impaired or sighted—can equally enjoy art, delve into history, and fearlessly express themselves through creation.

Q1: What is Precious Coral? How is it related to jewelry arts?
👉 Also know as “red coral” originates from the deep sea at depths between 10 to 2,000 meters. Some species are certified as gemstone-grade.

Organised by French May, the Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: Meeting Mona Lisa and Portraying the Renaissance exhibition is told from the first-person perspective of Mona Lisa herself. Through projection screens and interactive installations, her voice lead visitors on a journey into Renaissance culture and art. 💭

But when an exhibition features only visual displays, how can the visually impaired explore it?

BVI bridges this gap by providing tactile graphics and professional guided tours to ensure equal access for visually impaired friends. Through touch and sound, we invite you to experience the rich culture and history hidden behind the digital screens and exhibits.

When we are so used to defining the world with our eyes, have you ever thought about "seeing" your closest ones with your hands?

During the exhibition The Hong Kong Jockey Club Presents Series: Meeting Mona Lisa and Portraying the Renaissance, we have partnered with the French May Arts Festival to offer the public a unique "Tactile Self-Portrait Workshop". 🙌

👁️ Seeing Beyond Sight, Feeling Love with Fingertips
In everyday life, we often capture only a fleeting glimpse of each other's faces. In this workshop, however, parents and children temporarily set aside sight to engage in a heartwarming tactile observation session. By exploring and touching with their hands, they rediscover their family members' contours beyond the visual realm, transforming this unique perception into one-of-a-kind tactile portraits!

法國五月藝術節年度展覽《香港賽馬會呈獻系列：邂逅蒙娜麗莎．文藝復興的再現》

藝術不應止於視覺，美感能透過多種感官傳遞。BVI 今年再度成為 法國五月藝術節 的通達伙伴，誠邀視障朋友一同走進文藝復興，感受達文西的藝術魅力！

BVI 團隊為這次展覽設計了專屬的觸感圖與導賞內容。透過指尖的觸摸、資深導賞員的解說及現場設置的影片和互動裝置，部分場次更設有工作坊，將在大家的腦海中生動呈現蒙娜麗莎的神祕微笑與畫作背後的故事，更可以無障礙地進行藝術創作。

地點： 香港文化博物館
集合地點： 港鐵車公廟站A出口 或 博物館正門
人數： 每節 6 – 8 位視障朋友（可由 BVI 安排 1:1 義工陪同，或由一位朋友陪同）

French May Arts Festival Annual Exhibition: “Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: Meet Mona Lisa & Portraying the Renaissance”

Art can be sensed through all senses! We're excited to announce BVI's return as Accessibility Partner for the French May Arts Festival. We warmly invite visually impaired (VI) friends to join us explore the Renaissance and enjoy Leonardo da Vinci's art!

The BVI team has created exclusive tactile graphics and guided tours for this exhibition. Tactile, Audio Description by docent, and multimedia from the exhibition bring Mona Lisa’s smile and the masterpieces' stories to life. Selected sessions include hands-on workshops for barrier-free art creation.

📍 Event Details:
Venue: Hong Kong Heritage Museum
Meeting Point: MTR Che Kung Temple Station (Exit A) OR the Museum Main Entrance
Capacity: 6–8 VI/session (Volunteers can be arranged, or you are welcome to invite a friend along!)
