Our Singapore Vandas (National Netball Team) are competing in the Asian Netball Championships in Hong Kong! 🏐🇸🇬 They have done well so far and are heading to the Semi Finals for a shot to win the Asian Championships! The top two teams will qualify for the Netball World Cup Sydney 2027! 🏆

Let’s come down to Kai Tak Arena to show our support for our Singapore Vandas at their upcoming matches below! 🎉💪🏻 See you there!

CG Eric Teo was pleased to attend the recent Opening Ceremony of the 2026 Guangdong Macao Branded Products Fair (GMBPF) with Macao Secretary of Economy and Finance Ng Wai Han, President of the Macao Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) Che Weng Keong, fellow Consuls-General and senior officials from Macao and Guangdong.

CG Eric also officiated the opening of the Singapore Pavilion at the GMBPF 2026. A record 22 Singaporean companies participated in the Fair this year, featuring many Singapore household brands and delicacies. 😋🍴As CG mentioned in his welcome remarks, such trade fairs are valuable opportunities for Singapore companies to showcase their products, and also as an important platform for them to forge partnerships and connect with Macao and the broader region. 🌏

During this visit, CG Eric also hosted a National Day Celebration Luncheon with the Macau-Singapore Economic, Trade and Cultural Exchange Promotion Association and was pleased to celebrate our nation's 61st birthday together with the Singaporean community in Macao. 🇸🇬🇸🇬🇸🇬

張文喜總領事好高興出席最近舉行嘅2026粵澳名優商品展開幕禮，一齊出席嘅仲有澳門經濟財政司司長吳惠嫻、澳門招商投資促進局主席謝永強、其他駐澳門總領事，以及其他澳門及廣東嘅高層官員。

總領事亦主持咗展覽嘅新加坡展館開幕儀式。今年參展商數目創新高，有22間新加坡公司參與，展出唔少新加坡家喻戶曉嘅品牌同美食。😋🍴總領事喺歡迎辭提到，呢類商貿展係新加坡企業展示產品嘅寶貴機會，同時亦係佢哋同澳門以至更廣泛地區建立合作關係同聯繫嘅重要平台。🌏

CG and Mrs Eric Teo had a good catch up recently with Legislative Council Member (Sports, Performing Arts, Culture and Publication Constituency) Kenneth Fok, his wife Mdm Guo Jingjing and Honorary Secretary General of the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC), Edgar Yang over some delectable Singapore cuisine such as Hainanese Chicken Rice, Chilli Crab, Bak K*t Teh, Cereal Prawns, Durian Pudding, Cheng Tng and others. They had a good discussion ahead of the SF&OC’s upcoming visit to Singapore next week.

Sports play a vital role in creating a healthy society, not just physically, but also unite and connect people. ⚽🚴🤝🏻 Singapore and Hong Kong engage closely with each other through various exchange programmes. We are confident that such exchanges could enrich the exposures of our respective sports teams and agencies, bringing mutual benefits to our two cities. 🇸🇬🇭🇰

張文喜總領事及太太最近同立法會議員（體育、演藝、文化及出版界）霍啟剛聯同太太郭晶晶，以及中國香港體育協會暨奧林匹克委員會義務秘書長楊祖賜，一齊品嚐新加坡經典美食，包括海南雞飯、辣椒蟹、肉骨茶、麥皮蝦、榴槤布丁、清湯糖水等等。佢哋亦討論到港協暨奧委會下星期嘅新加坡外訪。

Having concluded the first half of 2026, TeamSingapore@HKMission gathered last week for our regular team gatherings.

We bade farewell to Vice Consul (Admin & Technical) Carolyn Tay after completing her 3-year posting and Consul (Admin & Consular) Mock Hui Ling for her short-term posting. We thanked them for their dedication and contributions to Hong Kong Mission and wished them all the best in their new chapters.👋🏻

We also welcomed their respective successors Vice Consul Michelle Lin and Consul Elena Tan, who bring with them fresh perspectives and experience which will further reinforce the team.💪🏻🇸🇬

We also took the opportunity to celebrate the birthdays of our colleagues Joshua and Andy and wished them to stay forever young!🎂

隨住2026年上半年完結，總領事館團隊上星期亦舉行定期聚會。

Singapore and Hong Kong face many similar demographic challenges as rapidly ageing societies, from evolving care needs to the importance of building supportive communities and senior‑friendly environments. Both cities have long studied each other’s approaches, drawing lessons and inspiration to better prepare for the future. 👴🏻🌏

Yesterday, CG Eric Teo had the honour of joining Hong Kong Secretary for Housing 何永賢 Winnie Ho, Head of DBS Foundation Karen Ngui, and Nan Fung Group Chairman and New Frontier Group Chairman & Co-Founder Antony Leung at the DBS Foundation’s Impact Beyond Dialogue 2026 co-organised with the Golden Age Foundation 黃金時代基金會. The forum offered a timely platform to exchange perspectives on ageing and longevity faced by both cities.

In his opening remarks, CG Teo highlighted five dimensions of “Rewirement” practised in Singapore covering preventive health, care, inclusive contribution, community networks, and senior‑friendly living environments, and emphasised the importance of continued exchanges that enable Singapore and Hong Kong to share policymaking experiences and work together to turn ageing from a challenge to be managed into an opportunity to be shared. 🤝🏻✨

新加坡與香港同為快速步入高齡化嘅社會，面對多項相似嘅人口挑戰 — 由照顧需要嘅轉變，以至建立互助社群同長者友善生活環境嘅重要性。新港兩地一直互相參考彼此嘅做法，從中汲取經驗同靈感，以更好地為未來作準備。👴🏻🌏

張文喜總領事昨日有幸出席由星展基金會主辦、黃金時代基金會協辦嘅《卓越影響力論壇2026》，並連同香港房屋局局長何永賢、星展基金會總監魏洪英、以及南豐集團主席、新風天域集團主席暨聯合創始人梁錦松共同參與。論壇為兩地就高齡化同長壽議題交流觀點，提供咗一個非常合時嘅平台。

總領事喺開場致辭中，重點介紹咗新加坡所實踐嘅「重塑退休生活」五大範疇，包括預防保健、照護、共融參與、社區網絡及長者友善生活環境，並強調持續交流嘅重要性，讓新加坡與香港能夠互相分享政策制定經驗並共同努力，將高齡化由一項需要管理嘅挑戰，轉化為一個可以共同把握嘅機遇。🤝🏻✨

Dancers from Singapore Hwa Chong Alumni Association recently participated in the 19th edition of the International Youth Dance Festival 國際青年舞蹈節 - Festival Juvenil Internacional de Dança in Macao!💃🏻🇲🇴 The 6-day event energised the streets of Macao with outdoor performances and also fruitful workshops and exchanges among 32 dance groups from 12 countries/regions. 🕺🏻🩰🪭

Consul Leonard attended the closing night of the Festival and congratulated the group for a wonderful performance and thanked them for flying the Singapore flag high! 🇸🇬

新加坡華中校友會嘅舞蹈員最近喺澳門參加咗第19屆國際青年舞蹈節！💃🏻🇲🇴 呢個為期六日嘅活動為澳門街頭注入活力，有戶外表演，仲有嚟自12個國家/地區，總共32個舞蹈團體之間嘅工作坊同交流活動。🕺🏻🩰🪭

領事Leonard亦出席咗舞蹈節嘅閉幕夜，恭喜華中團隊演出成功，並感謝佢哋展現新加坡精神！🇸🇬

CG Eric Teo was pleased to meet Hong Kong Secretary for Environment and Ecology Tse Chin Wan recently and discussed potential collaborations in tackling climate change, sustainability, and green energy. 💧🌳🔋

Both Singapore and Hong Kong are cities with almost no natural resources and face similar challenges in renewable energy adoption. By working together, we could accelerate the transition towards greener and more resilient urban development. ♻️

We look forward to strengthening cooperation in advancing sustainable solutions that benefit our communities and the environment.
