Let us continue to pray for our city, this place we call home.
“You have said in Your Word, O Lord, that if we turn from our sins You will heal our land. In this time of divided opinions and arguments may we as Your sons and daughters bring the beacon of hope to this city. May You touch the hearts of the people of Hong Kong, that they may feel the need to seek a Savior. As Your church, may You empower us, take us out of our comfort zones, give us eyes to see the world like You. Fill our hearts with compassion, so we can share the hope we have found in You. I understand that the city’s been driven with fear of the outcome of the extradition bill, but only You know what lies ahead. You are our good Father, just and righteous. Though our circumstances will be unpredictable from time to time in this life, You are always our unwavering Protector and Shield. Keep the words of King David fresh in our minds, and renew our hearts to the tune of Your truth - 'I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me.'
May Your ways be known in our country and Your name be lifted up in the corridors of power – and guide our country we pray into the ways of peace, justice, and truth. Again, Lord, I pray from a place of thankfulness that I have been given a gift, that is living in this city. Thank you for all of our blessings, thank you for your provisions and protections. In Jesus Name, Amen."
