MSSS New Student Welcome Gala! πŸŽ‰

The night was a huge success, filled with amazing student performances, fun games, and great energy. The highlight was learning the history of the University Anthem and singing it together. Feeling that strong OneHKUST spirit was especially meaningful as we celebrate the university’s 35th Anniversary this year! πŸ¦…πŸ’™

Study Pods Know-How πŸ’‘

From the Library survey feedback, we love learning that you use the pods for job interviews, online meetings, and making high-quality recordings for your assignments! 🎧

But we definitely hear your concerns about pod ventilation and cleanliness.

🧹 Yes, the cleaning ladies regularly clean the insides of the pods, and our facilities team routinely checks the ventilation systems.

🌬️ Why does it feel stuffy at first? To save energy 🌱, the fans automatically turn off when the pod is empty. A sensor triggers the fan when you walk in, so it does take a minute or two to get the air flowing!

πŸ’‘ Tips for Pod Users:
🚫 Please DO NOT switch off the ventilation/fan while inside!

πŸŽ›οΈ Only the 4-person pods have adjustable fan strength controls.

Got more questions or suggestions about our facilities? Feel free to reach out or drop a comment below! πŸ‘‡
