📍 The CSDI Awards is back! This year's theme is "AI-empowered Spatial Data Creating Boundless Potential ♾️”. If you're interested in the development of Artificial Intelligence and want to use spatial data to propose innovative ideas, this Awards is the perfect platform to showcase your talents!

🗓️ Registration Deadline: 5 December 2026 (11:59 PM Hong Kong Time) ⏰

This year's competition features four categories: Upper Primary (P4-P6), Junior Secondary (S1-S3), Senior Secondary (S4-S6), and Open Category (The general public and tertiary students). Each category will award a Champion 🥇, First Runner-up 🥈, Second Runner-up 🥉, and Merit Awards.

This year marks the 5th anniversary of Geospatial Lab, GeoLab will host a series of workshops and events 📚 to help everyone understand the uses and applications of spatial data. 🗺️ 地理空間小知識：圖像中的物件檢測和分割（上）🤖

當人工智能遇上空間數據，機器究竟是如何「看懂」我們身邊日常生活的地圖與城市的呢？👀✨

其實，這背後蘊含著一整套強大且精密的科技演進過程。今次我們特別運用了地政總署透過空間數據共享平台入門網站 (CSDI Portal)所提供的高解析度「數碼正射影像圖 (DOP5000)」，帶大家由淺入深、一步步拆解背後的科技原理！🚀

從基礎概念開始：
💡 人工智能 (Artificial Intelligence)：讓機器學會像人類一樣思考與解決問題，從影像辨識到日常決策無所不在。
⚙️ 機器學習 (Machine Learning)：不透過硬性編寫規則，而是讓機器從大量數據中「自動學習」規律與模式。
🧠 深度學習 (Deep Learning)：模擬人腦神經網絡結構，專門處理圖片、文字等複雜數據，精準完成過去需要人類智慧的高難度任務。
