Lithuania is sharpening its edge in life sciences – and taking its capabilities to the global stage.
Vilnius has opened the €61 million BIO CITY III Cell Therapy and Personalised Medicine Centre, adding a major new capability to Lithuania’s growing biotechnology ecosystem.
The 3,500 sq m facility brings together 20 independent GMP-compliant production lines and will focus on advanced cell therapies, personalised vaccines, regenerative medicine and 3D human tissue technologies.
BIO CITY III also strengthens Lithuania’s capabilities in CAR-T therapy and personalised medicine – two highly advanced areas of modern biotechnology.
The new centre joins existing biopharmaceutical and gene therapy facilities within the wider BIO CITY ecosystem in Vilnius.
Another step towards establishing Lithuania as a global life sciences and biotechnology hub.
