On January 13, the Ambassador awarded the medals of the International Children's Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice 2025 to the students of the Kerek Nap Art School in Magyarpolány at the Embassy.
The Kerek Nap Art School in Magyarpolány has been participating in International Children's Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice for many years and regularly manages to win awards for its works. In 2025, in addition to the individual awards of individual students, the school itself also received a medal for its collection of graphics.
Individual medals were awarded to Boglárka Végh and Szófia Gortva. Teacher Tibor Csabai received the medal awarded to the school for the collection of graphics of students Annabella Hájas, Júlianna Naszódi, Mia Vágner and Szaffi Vágner.
The Ambassador thanked the awarded children for their contribution to the exhibition and praised their efforts and creativity in their work. She also thanked the teacher Tibor Csabai and the Kerek Nap Art School for the work and effort they dedicate to the children.
The International Children's Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice was founded in 1967 to honour the memory of the child victims from the Czech village of Lidice during the Second World War and all other children who died in war conflicts. More than 25,000 works of art from 70-80 countries of the world regularly participate in this international competition.
