Folytatódik az ELTE–NFI FILMIO Egyetemi Filmklub vetítés- és beszélgetéssorozat. Az ELTE minden karáról várjuk az egyetemi polgárokat.
Ruben Brandt egy elit magánklinikát vezető pszichiáter, aki kényszerbetegségekben szenvedő bűnözőkre szakosodott. Sajátos művészetterápiájának célja, hogy páciensei birtokolni tudják félelmük tárgyát. Közben apja halála óta maga Ruben is kezelésre szorul, mivel visszatérő rémálmok gyötrik, amelyekben híres festmények alakjai kísértik. Ruben betegei, élükön Mimivel, a kleptomániás, akrobata tolvajnővel, rajongott orvosuknak saját gyógymódjával kívánnak segíteni, ezért Ruben számára ellopják az eredeti műalkotásokat a világ olyan top múzeumaiból, mint a Louvre, a Tate, a New York-i Guggenheim, a MoMA vagy az Uffizi. A rablók nyomában persze nagyon hamar ott liheg – a hatóságokon kívül – Mike Kowalski, egy washingtoni magánnyomozó és az alvilág is, akik a műtárgybiztosítók által felajánlott nyomravezető díjat akarják bezsebelni.
Képrablós akciókrimibe ágyazott szürreális álomrészek, szövevényes képző-, filmművészeti és irodalmi referenciák. Cselekménye klasszikus bűnügyi filmes zsánerek karaktereiből, toposzaiból és jeleneteiből építkezik.

Ruben Brandt is a psychiatrist who leads a private clinic specialising in criminals with obsessive-compulsive disorders. The goal of his unique art therapy is to enable his patients to possess the objects of their fears. Meanwhile, since his father’s death, Ruben himself has been in need of treatment, as he is tormented by recurring nightmares in which figures from famous paintings haunt him. Ruben’s patients want to help their adored doctor using his own method of treatment, so they steal original works of art for Ruben from top museums around the world. Of course, hot on the heels of the thieves – aside from the authorities – are Mike Kowalski, a private investigator from Washington, and the underworld, who are both eager to pocket the reward offered by the art insurers for information leading to their capture.
Our guests during the post-screening discussion is Zsolt Baumgartner, animator and animation director, who worked as a storyboarder, layout artist, and animator in the film.
