Őfelsége VIII. Haakon király esküt tesz a parlament előtt.

Az eskütétel, az alkotmányos monarchia ünnepélyes momentuma, a király és a nép által választott törvényhozó testület közti kötelék megerősítése. Ez a mély történelmi gyökerekkel rendelkező hagyomány új fejezet kezdetét jelzi Norvégia történetében.

🕯 To honour the memory of His Majesty King Harald V of Norway, the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Budapest is opening a Book of Condolences.

The Book of Condolences will be available at the Embassy's premises (1015 Budapest, Ostrom utca 13.) on Monday (31 August) and Tuesday (1 September) between 10:00 and 14:00 for all those wishing to express their condolences and pay their respects.

🕯️ Őfelsége V. Harald norvég király emlékére a nagykövetség részvétnyilvánító könyvet nyit.

A részvétnyilvánító könyv a nagykövetség épületében (1015 Budapest, Ostrom utca 13.) augusztus 31-én (hétfőn) és szeptember 1-jén (kedden) 10.00 és 14.00 óra között lesz elérhető mindazok számára, akik kegyeletüket kívánják kifejezni.

Press release from the Office of the Prime Minister:

"It is with great sorrow that I received the news that His Majesty King Harald V has died.

A whole nation is in mourning and the people of Norway are left with a deep sense of gratitude for a long life in the service of Norway.

For more than three decades as monarch, Harald V demonstrated an unwavering faith in the Norwegian people. He helped us to see the best in ourselves – and in one another.

King Harald found the words to bind us together when we needed them the most. He grieved with us after the attacks 22 July 2011. He cheered with us when Norwegian athletes excelled. And he guided us, with warmth, wisdom and openness, towards a society with a place for everyone. King Harald had a profound love for Norway. And Norway had a profound love for King Harald.

My thoughts and deepest sympathy are with the Queen and the entire Royal Family at this difficult time,’ said Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre on learning of the death of King Harald V.

King Harald V was born on 21 February 1937. He died at the age of 89.

The Government will be convening soon for a government conference at the Office of the Prime Minister, and after that an extraordinary meeting of the Council of State will be held at the Royal Palace with the new King."

This week, Norwegian football club SK Brann Kvinner is in Budapest for a UEFA Women's Champions League qualifying tournament, fighting for a place in the next stage of the competition.

On Friday, the team paid us a visit ahead of their final and decisive match against FC PAOK, taking place today.

We wish Brann Kvinner the very best of luck in the match - and hope to see them continue their European journey! 🇳🇴⚽️

Ma 15 éve, 2011. július 22-én terrortámadás rázta meg Norvégiát. Az oslói robbantás és az Utøya szigetén elkövetett terrortámadás 77 ember életét követelte.

A hétvégén új emlékhelyet avattak az oslói kormányzati negyedben. A Megőrzés, norvégul En opprettholdelse című monumentális alkotás nemcsak a 77 áldozatnak állít emléket, hanem a közösség erejét, az összetartozást és a kitartást is jelképezi. A mozaik létrehozásában túlélők, hozzátartozók és fiatalok is részt vettek.

Az emlékművet Matias Faldbakken norvég képzőművész tervezte. Munkája a terrortámadás két helyszínét kapcsolja össze: az acélszerkezet a támadásban megrongálódott kormányzati épületek történetét idézi meg, míg a kőmozaik a Munkáspárt ifjúsági szervezetének nyári táborhelyét, Utøya sziget csendes természeti környezetét jeleníti meg.

Tizenöt évvel ezelőtt a norvég társadalom megfogadta, hogy nem hallgat és nem felejt. A július 22-i tragédia ma is arra emlékeztet bennünket, hogy közös felelősségünk fellépni a terrorizmus, a szélsőséges eszmék és a gyűlöletkeltés minden formája ellen, miközben őrizzük a demokrácia, a nyitottság és az egymás iránti bizalom értékeit.
