It is hosted by the Irish Department of Transport and organised by TTI (Transport Infrastructures Ireland), University College Dublin (UCD), Enterprise Ireland and CPI (Conference Partners International). The Transport Research Arena (TRA) is Europe's biggest Research Conference. It was initiated in 2006 and takes place every two years in a different European city. The Conference is co-organised by the European Commission with the support of the following platforms and networks (in alphabetic order): ACARE (Advisory Council for Aviation Research and Innovation in Europe), ALICE (Alliance for Logistics Innovation through Collaboration), CEDR (Conference of European Directors of Roads), ECTP (The European Construction Technology Platform), ERRAC (European Rail Research Advisory Council), ERTRAC (European Road Transport Research Advisory Council), ETRA (European Transport Research Alliance) and WATERBORNE (European research and innovation platform for waterborne industries).

Over four inspiring days, Budapest became the meeting point for European and global know-how, showcasing groundbreaking ideas, next-generation solutions, and the voices of young researchers driving tomorrow’s innovation. 💡🤝

Most of all, TRA 2026 was about people. Thousands of participants, countless conversations, new connections, and an unforgettable atmosphere made this event truly special. 🔥✨
