International School of Budapest is the largest English-Hungarian bilingual international school in Hungary. We provide an international based education in a caring environment to children from 5 to 14 years old, including preparatory, primary and middle school education. Our English medium programme is based on the English National Curriculum with modifications to meet the needs of an internation

al student body. Besides this, ISB runs two different bilingual programmes, encompassing the Hungarian National Curriculum. A Budapesti Nemzetközi Iskola (International School of Budapest) Magyarország legnagyobb nemzetközi két tanítási nyelvű általános iskolája. Nemzetközi környezetben és gondoskodó, családias légkörben nyújtunk iskola előkészítő és általános iskolai oktatást 5-14 éves korú gyermekek számára. A nemzetközi (angol nyelvű) programunk alapvetően az Angol Nemzeti Tantervre épül, kiegészítve azt a modern nemzetközi környezet kihívásaiból adódó témakörökkel. Az ISB emellett két különböző szintű kéttannyelvű (angol és magyar nyelvű) programot kínál a magyarul (is) tudó vagy tanulni szándékozó gyermekek számára, amelyeket a Magyar Nemzeti Tanterv szerint alakítottunk ki.

This morning, our Fifth Grade students had the opportunity to visit the Spanish Embassy in Budapest to present their final Geography project of the year.
over the past weeks, students have been working on a Project-Based Learning unit that brought together many of the geographical concepts and skills explored throughout the semester. Through research, map work, regional studies, and collaborative tasks, they developed a deeper understanding of Spain’s geography, landscapes, culture, and regional diversity.
The project culminated in a presentation at the Spanish Embassy in front of His Excellency Luis Ángel Redondo, Ambassador of Spain to Hungary, and Ms Marta Álvarez, Education Attaché, providing students with a unique opportunity to showcase their learning in an authentic and highly motivating setting.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to His Excellency Luis Ángel Redondo and Ms Marta Álvarez for their warm welcome, generosity, and genuine interest in the students’ work. Their support made this a truly memorable learning experience and a wonderful way to celebrate the culmination of months of hard work."

One of our teachers will be taking on a very special challenge next weekend: running 80 kilometres from Esztergom to the Hungarian Parliament in Budapest in support of a charitable initiative that helps create educational opportunities for young people.
While this is a personal project taking place outside of school, we are always proud to celebrate members of our community who use their talents, passions, and time to make a positive impact beyond the classroom.
The run will finish at one of Budapest’s most iconic locations, Kossuth Lajos Square, in front of the Hungarian Parliament, on 14 June at 12:00 pm.

What a fantastic House Day for our Primary School students!
Students took part in a range of sports, creative, and intellectual challenges as they moved through the stations with their classes. At each station, they worked in their house teams, earning points through teamwork, effort, and problem-solving. 🔴🔵🟡🟢
It was great to see so much house spirit throughout the day, with students cheering each other on and giving every challenge their best shot. Congratulations to Margit Mammoths for finishing in first place and winning this year's House Day competition! 🏆🥳

'At our school, many teachers are involved in inspiring personal projects outside the classroom, and we always love seeing members of our educational community pursue meaningful initiatives.

One example is , a personal charity project led by one of our teachers in support of Heartfelt English, where he will attempt to run 80 km from Budapest to Esztergom to help raise funds and awareness for students from children’s homes. 🤩✨

While this is an independent initiative organised personally by the teachers involved, we are always happy to celebrate and support projects that reflect values such as empathy, effort, and community spirit.
