A finnországi Saimaa UNESCO Geopark a házigazdája az európai geoparkok 18. nemzetközi konferenciájának, amelyre 30 országból 445 résztvevő érkezett. A geoparkok munkájának eredményeit, tapasztalatait összesen 180 előadás ismerteti, de a rendezvény egyben kitűnő lehetőség a kapcsolatépítésre, a szakmai konzultációkra, a hálózati munka elmélyítésére, új partnerségek kialakítására is. A Balaton-felvidéki Nemzeti Park Igazgatóság által alapított és fenntartott Bakony–Balaton UNESCO Geoparkot Korbély Barnabás és Ancsin Gergely képviseli a konferencián.
// Saimaa UNESCO Global Geopark in Finland is hosting the 18th International European Geoparks Conference, bringing together 445 participants from 30 countries.
A total of 180 presentations showcase the achievements and experiences of Geoparks across Europe. At the same time, the conference offers an excellent opportunity for networking, professional exchange, strengthening cooperation and developing new partnerships.
Bakony–Balaton UNESCO Global Geopark, established and managed by the Balaton Uplands National Park Directorate, is represented at the conference by Barnabás Korbély and Gergely Ancsin.
