To soboto, 18. oktobra bo idrijski Mestni trg oživela že 21. KMEČKA TRŽNICA z bogato ponudbo pridelkov in izdelkov z idrijskega in cerkljanskega podeželja.

VABILO NA SKLOP PREDAVANJ: Odprava zaraščanja in upravljanje travnikov in pašnikov

✅15.00 UPRAVLJANJE PAŠE IN VAROVANJE PAŠNIH ŽIVALI PRED VELIKI ZVERMI
Predavateljica: mag. Ida Štoka, KGZ Nova Gorica
Predavanje bo zajemalo predstavitev postopkov priprave živali na pašo, različne sisteme vodenja paše ter načela ustrezne priprave pašnih površin. Poseben poudarek bo namenjen tehnologiji paše.
V drugem delu bodo predstavljeni vzroki konfliktov med človekom in velikimi zvermi, predvsem v povezavi s škodo na kmetijskem premoženju. Predstavljeni bodo najpogostejši preventivni ukrepi za zmanjševanje tveganja napadov na pašne živali ter možnosti za omejevanje negativnih vplivov velikih zveri na kmetijsko dejavnost.

✅16.30 ODPRAVA ZARAŠČANJA Z UKREPI ZA IZBOLJŠANJE TRAVNE RUŠE

Predavanje bo obravnavalo problem zaraščanja kmetijskih površin ter predstavilo postopke odstranjevanja zarasti s poudarkom na zatiranju invazivnih in drugih nezaželenih rastlinskih vrst. Predstavljeni bodo tudi ukrepi za izboljšanje kakovosti travne ruše, kot so gnojenje, apnenje, dosejevanje travno-deteljnih mešanic (TDM) ter ustrezna oskrba travnikov in pašnikov.

Udeležba na dogodku je brezplačna.

A CE0200652 számú, INTERREG Central-BIC (Biodiversity Innovative Communities) program részeként a Kamenjak Közintézmény és Zadar Megye közösen szervezte meg a projekt negyedik partneri találkozóját és tanulmányútját Dél-Isztrián 2026. január 27–29. között.

🌿As part of the INTERREG Central-BIC (Biodiversity Innovative Communities), Public Institution Kamenjak, together with Zadar County, was the organiser of the Fourth Partner Meeting and study visit in the area of South Istria, and was held from 27th January 2026. to 29th January, 2026. 🌿
🌊Various activities were organised for the partners and stakeholders, which included the presentation and the tour of the Significant Landscape of Lower Kamenjak and Medulin Archipelago, and the livestock pen that was set up as part of the project. 🐏🐃
After, the partners and stakeholders together visited the livestock farm “Šantamarina”. Also, visits to local oil mills (Chiavalon, Oio Vivo) were arranged for the stakeholders, alongside partner meetings and partner presentations. Also, AZRRI (Agency for rural development of Istria) has presented to the partners and stakeholders the project of revitalisation of indigenous Istrian breeds, after which the stakeholders had the chance to present their best practice examples, and have then visited the AZRRI Educational-gastronomic Center in Pazin, while the partners attended the visit the “Nono Bruno” oil mill.
🧩On this meeting and study visit, all partners and their stakeholders have been present (8 countries,12 project partners), which amounted to about 50 people participating. 🧩
🎯The goal of the meeting was to coordinate project activities, share best practice experiences and examples and strengthen cooperation between partners and stakeholders.

On 25 October 2025, as part of the Central-BIC project, we participated in a farmers' meeting organised by the Hortobágy National Park Directorate. This meeting coincided with St. Demetrius Day, a notable Hungarian holiday, and was linked to a harvest festival, craft fair and crane festival at Hortobágy. As the cold days and nights of late autumn arrive, the shepherds and their livestock in Hortobágy prepare for winter in accordance with old folk customs.

From spring to late autumn, the animals that have been grazing freely on the plains are herded from the pastures to their winter quarters as there is no longer enough food to be found in the fields. This spectacular event attracts a large number of interested visitors, as well as local farmers, producers, and sellers of local products, to the village of Hortobágy on this day. This large crowd provides an opportunity to raise awareness of local farmers' activities and, consequently, of the local produce they bring to market.🧩
During the event, we presented the objectives of the Central-BIC project to those involved and engaged new stakeholders.✅
Dr Andrea Bauerné Gáthy, the Central-BIC project's lead expert, gave a presentation on the project's objectives, activities and expected results to local stakeholders.🍀
During the discussion, the good practices of the farmers present were also collected. Participants at the event unanimously agreed that preserving and transmitting traditional values to future generations can play a decisive role in conserving biodiversity. Farmers who have learnt the ins and outs of grazing since childhood live in close contact with nature. They have learnt to respect the natural values of their environment and know how to protect biodiversity and ecosystem services.
