A delegation of BJP Ladakh called on the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Sh. Vinai Kumar Saxena ji, at Raj Niwas, Leh, on June 21.

The delegation comprised Sh. Tashi Gyaltsan Khachu, BJP state President; Adv. Tashi Gyalson, former Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh; Sh. Stanzin Lakpa, General Secretary, BJP Ladakh; and Sh. Rigzin Tsewang, General Secretary, BJP Zanskar.

The delegation congratulated the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor on his successful visit to Mongolia to receive the Holy Relics of Lord Buddha’s two disciples and for revitalising the spiritual and historical legacy of His Eminence the late Kushok Bakula Rinpoche.

The leaders also discussed the recent excise policy and urged a balanced, consultative approach in the larger interest of effective administration and public welfare in Ladakh. They conveyed concerns raised by sections of civil society and emphasised the need for structured, inclusive dialogue with all stakeholders.

The delegation further highlighted the need for strict vigilance against liquor black marketing and strong action against bootlegging.

The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor assured the delegation that the issues raised would be given serious consideration, keeping in mind the overall interest of the people of Ladakh.
