Bali Regional Police and South Korean Consulate Strengthen Cooperation to Enhance Tourist Safety
DENPASAR, (9/4/2026)– The Bali Regional Police and the newly inaugurated South Korean Consulate in Benoa have reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring the safety and security of international tourists visiting Bali.
In a coordination meeting held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, officials from the VIP Sub-Directorate of the Bali Police’s Directorate for the Protection of Vital Objects (Ditpamobvit) met with South Korean Consulate representatives to discuss enhanced security measures and bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, the South Korean Consulate ensured that its recent travel advisory was a routine safety reminder for Korean citizens, not a travel ban or restriction. The Consulate expressed appreciation for the Bali Police’s prompt response and confirmed it has updated its communications to reflect Bali’s current security conditions.
*Concrete Security Measures:*
The Bali Regional Police has prioritized the safety of foreign nationals through:
* Intensified patrols in tourist areas and high-traffic zones
* Enhanced coordination with tourism stakeholders and foreign missions
* Swift investigation and resolution of cases involving foreign nationals
* The Bali Regional Police recorded a 23% decrease in criminal cases involving foreign nationals from January to April 2026, compared to the same period last year.
“The safety and comfort of all visitors, including our Korean friends, remains our highest priority,” said Police Inspector General Daniel Adityajaya, the Chief of Bali Regional Police. “This partnership demonstrates our shared commitment to maintaining Bali as a world-class, secure tourism destination.”
This collaboration is expected to further strengthen international confidence in Bali’s tourism sector and reinforce the island’s reputation as a safe, welcoming destination for travelers worldwide.
