A request from Elena Ana, sorry I can't find your name to be tag.
Lols, sorry for being super late, I actually forgot xD and these is just a couple of hours I spend making, I know I promised a short story, but I can't stop writing once my hands is on the keyboard, haha, lols.
If you guys like it, I can continue this one.
As it rains in this small city of mine, empty roads while only a few vehicles can be
seen every a couple of hours. The red sky, as the sun set, and night beginning its shift,
I waited at the bus stop, what felt like eternity, for the bus only comes according to
schedules, and how early I arrive, since my shift ends earlier than it used to be, even
though it was supposed to be my day off.
Soaking wet, because I forgot my umbrella, rushing to work everyday, for I like to stay
up past 3AM, watching movies and playing video games, sometimes read a few book or two.
It's not fun living alone, I miss my family, our great times together, the memories we had,
even though as much fun I had, I can't help but to have an urge, to start a new life with
new people, that I can call, a family that I personally build. It's not that I never visited
them, I do, as often as I can, and it always cheers me up, seeing them all smiles,
celebrating my weekly visits, with abundance of my favorite food. We all sat down on a big
table, my two big brothers, and older and younger sister, my father and mother, always have
a story that they want to tell me, and I never get tired of hearing them, no matter what.
Thunders soar and light up the sky, I opened my eyes, realized I fall asleep while leaning
on the wooden wall that have been protecting me from the rain splashing from the outside.
I turn my head to the left, and a little surprised, as a woman was sitting there the entire
time I was sleeping, shaking in her soaking wet clothes, I tried to reach for my rugged coat,
only to realize it was wet. She turn her head to me, she smiled, and said, "It's okay."
The rain seems to be getting worse, but at last, light shine through the road, as the bus
makes a stop, I got in, filled with worry, the bus driver said, "Thank god I decided to
to keep on my shifts, even though the news told not to drive through this hellish storm,
and I thought you today was your day off!" "A-A guy from my workplace got sick, s-so I'm
covering his shift." I reply, stuttered for how cold it is that my whole body is shaking.
"Who's that friends of yours." the bus driver said, peaking at my back, I turn and realized
that the woman was waiting at the bus stop too, I let her go through first, she smiled
again, and say, "Thank you." I can't really hear what her destination was, as the rains
covered her soft voice. She sat down at one of the front seat, while I pick the one at the
farthest back, for it would be awkward for me, to choose any other than the farthest back,
even though the bus is empty.
An hour it seems, and my destination keep getting closer, the only thing on my mind back
then was how crappy the internet would be, with the weather this crazy, as if it's not
crappy already. My mind went off to wonders beyond the world, only to get shocked by the
bus driver screaming, "We're here!" I grabbed my bag and went through the second door,
as I walk down the bus's squeaky metal stairs, I can't help but to look at her from behind,
while she kept shaking in this cold weather. Being a good person, the bus driver went all
the way from the bus stop that took me 20 minute walk from my house, to only a few meters
away to home sweet home.
I took a hot bath, and like usual, spending my time, watching movies and played a few hours
of video games, as pathetic as it sounds, my only dinner is a cup of instant noodle, though
it is only for a couple of days left, before I can cook my own food again, for I am not
really good at spending money on the more important things, I barely buy the things that my
body needs, because there was nothing that I want for my self at the moment. My eyes were
tired from looking at the screen of my computer for hours straight, looking at the times,
I sighted and thought to my self, "Another day, another time wasted doing these stuff. It's
3:26 in the morning, I better sleep, or I'm gonna be a lot more late than I usually do."
My tired eyes asked for nothing more than to be closed, yet my mind can't help but to wonders
off the universe, suddenly, I thought of the girl at the busted, clear as it can, I just
remember that the cloth she's wearing, looks similar to those that worked at the fast food
restaurant a few blocks away, I rarely went there, because of my tight budget on spending
it for useless things. For some reason, I can't help but to only think of her, I keep
struggling to fall asleep, yet my mind are fixated to her, "how's she doing, did she caught
a cold, did she have the same meal as me?" was the only thing I could think of.
To be continued.
