Srikandi Bea Cukai

Srikandi or Śikhaṇḍī is a female warrior from the Hindu epic Mahabharata. Her outstanding courage and leadership has inspired women around the world for long. Within the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, female officers are called Srikandi Bea Cukai to liven up the spirit of Srikandi. At the Indonesian Customs and Excise Training Center (ICETC), we train and prepare female officers to be tough mentally and physically through the basic training. After the training they are ready to carry out any challenging assignment including sea patrol. Soon, there will be female patrol commanders who rise through the ranks.

Thursday, 19th August 2021, Indonesian Customs and Excise Training Centre held Customs Collage 7th Series: Webinar on Authorized Economic Operator 2.0.

The webinar was opened by the keynote remarks from the Head Office of Finance Education and Training Centre, Mr Andin Hadiyanto. He welcomed all the resources person and the participants. He hoped the webinar could bridge the communication among related parties and improve their knowledge of the required skills to implement the AEO program.

Mr Askolani, The Director-General of DGCE Indonesia, conveyed the implementation of the AEO Program in Indonesia. Some benefits as an AEO Certified Company are time and cost-saving, minimum documentary requirement, simplified customs procedures, etc. Concerning more complexity in global supply chain security and the significant role of AEO, the Directorate General of Customs Excise currently drafting significant changes to the ministry of finance regulation on AEO so that the benefit can be enjoyed not only for a large company but also micro, small and medium enterprises

WCO Accredited Expert Ms Asha Menon shared her knowledge and experience in Authorized Economic Operators. She overviewed the general AEO Conditions, International AEO Requirements, accreditation procedures, benefits of AOE, AEO and MRAs implementation by WCO Members, and new initiatives related to AEO.

Attended by the customs administration, other government agencies, private sectors, and also the public from Albania, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bhutan, Bolivia, Cambodia, Canada, Egypt, Fiji, Greece, Hong Kong-China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Nigeria, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, St. Lucia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, The Netherlands, UAE-Abu Dhabi, Uganda, Uni Arab Emirates, Indonesia.

Topic : "Single Window: Simplification, Harmonization, and Digitalization of Customs Services."

The conference was opened by The Head Office of Financial Education and Training Agency, Mr. Andin Hadiyanto.

The Minister of Finance of Republic Indonesia, Mrs Sri Mulyani Indrawati, keynote speech and acknowledged the importance of Customs Role in regulating strategic policy for the economic sector especially in anticipating the changing of digital economy

The virtual international conference is scheduled to take place on 16 - 18 March 2021, 09.00 A.M– 14.00 P.M (GMT+7).

This conference discusses various innovations in digital transformation which highlighted the following topics:
1. Innovation in Trade Facilitation and Customs Service,
2. Innovation in Trade Security and Customs Control, or
3. Innovation in Post Clearance Audit (PCA).

RTC Indonesia participated in the 16th Global Meeting of WCO Regional Structures, held virtually via KUDO on 18th to 19th of February 2021. The meeting was the first for RTC Indonesia, following the establishment of Indonesian Customs and Excise Education and Training Center as WCO Regional Training Centre Asia/Pacific on 29th of January 2021.

Pict 1 : During the meeting, the WCO Capacity Building Directorate presented all new Regional Structures and their managers, including RTC Indonesia that managed by Mr. Harry Mulya, Director of ICEETC.

Pict 2: Chief of International Training Team of RTC Indonesia, Mr. Arfiansyah Darwin took note and welcomed the development of the “Guide for a Successful Transition to Live Virtual Training” by WCO Capacity Building Directorate, during the 16th Global Meeting of WCO Regional Structures. The guide is beneficial to assist the training centres to maintain the quality of the training delivery.
