Portugal was elected today as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the 2027-2028 term.

The election recognizes the work of Portuguese diplomacy and the international community’s confidence in Portugal’s role as a promoter of dialogue, peace, and cooperation among peoples.

For the fourth time in its history, Portugal will have a seat on the United Nations body responsible for maintaining international peace and security, assuming an active voice in responding to the global challenges of our time. 🇵🇹🇺🇳

🇵🇹 A partir do dia 1 de maio de 2026, o pagamento de atos consulares passará a ser feito a priori, isto é, antes da realização do(s) ato(s) consular(es) e não após a sua concretização;
De igual modo, passarão apenas a ser aceites como meios preferenciais de pagamento o recurso a:
- Débito em conta do utente, mediante a uso de cartão de débito num terminal de pagamento
- Pagamento através de um Código QR (Qris)
- Transferência bancária, efetuada diretamente no banco BNI ou através de, meio eletrónico desde que com prova física (a enviar para o e-mail [email protected] )
da conclusão da operação.

🇬🇧 From May 1st, 2026, payment for consular services will be made a priori. That is, before the consular service(s) is performed.

Similarly, only the following methods will be accepted as preferred means of payment:
- Direct Debit from the user’s account, using a debit card at a payment terminal.
- QR Code (Qris) payment.
- Bank Transfer, made directly at BNI bank or electronically, provided there is physical proof (an e-mail sent to [email protected]) of completion of the transaction.
