When a food safety emergency crosses borders, preparedness and coordination matter.

This week, experts and International Health Regulations (IHR) Focal Points from across ASEAN came together for the ASEAN Food Safety Emergency Response (FSER) Simulation Exercise, supported by the ASEAN-UK Health Security Partnership Programme (HSP). The exercise tested regional mechanisms for information-sharing, coordination, and emergency response.

Last week in , the Carbon and Nature Opportunities for Prosperity and Yield (CANOPY) project convened ASEAN governments, the ASEAN Secretariat, the UK Mission to ASEAN, project developers and technical partners for a two-day regional workshop.  
 
The focus: how to design high-integrity nature-based carbon projects that can unlock greater finance for nature.  
 
Through open and practical exchanges, participants shared regional perspectives on what makes projects credible, investable, and ready for implementation. This feedback will help support the development of high-quality nature restoration initiatives across .  
 
As WWF celebrates 20 years in Singapore and 65 years globally, this collaboration reflects a continued commitment to delivering lasting benefits for communities, biodiversity and the climate.
