Masalah hari ini tidak bisa lagi diselesaikan dengan kacamata tunggal.
Krisis sumber daya, fragmentasi antarlembaga, hingga dinamika ESG yang semakin kompleks adalah bukti bahwa pendekatan kepemimpinan konvensional sudah mencapai batasnya. Jika kita terus bekerja dalam "silo", kita hanya akan menghabiskan energi untuk mempertahankan tembok organisasi masing-masing.

On 1–2 July 2026, UID successfully convened the “Leading into the Emerging Future: Generative Communication” workshop under the AKTIF program.

Bringing together C-suite executives, Directors, and middle management from technology, start-ups, mining, retail, chemicals, insurance, property, and environmental sectors, the program was a lively forum for sharing ideas and building trust across the ecosystem.

In the age of AI disruption, Indonesia's greatest deficit isn't technological literacy—it is the quality of our collective awareness. Escaping the Middle Income Trap requires tri-sector leaders who are not just proficient in managing algorithms, but deeply attuned to social justice and ecological harmony.

Algorithms can draft policies, but only human leaders with Systemic Empathy can ensure those policies heal communities rather than marginalize them. At United In Diversity, we cultivate this ecosystem leadership. Because a happy common future can only be achieved when we elevate our awareness together.

Transformation happens when knowledge is shared, localized, and sustained by the community.

As part of our ongoing commitment to human capital development, United In Diversity Foundation and the 1000 Days Fund Foundation have officially launched a four-month stunting-reduction initiative in Bojonegoro Regency.

The frontline of this movement is our local healthcare heroes. After completing a blended learning journey throughout June, Healthcare Workers from 12 Puskesmas gathered for an intensive Training of Trainers (TOT) workshop on June 18–19, 2026.

The Strategy: Knowledge Cascading
Phase 1 (June): Intensive TOT certification for local healthcare workers.
Phase 2 (July - Sept 2026): Certified workers provide direct, on-the-ground mentorship to 240 Community Health Cadres (Kader Kesehatan).
The Goal: Build localized, long-term community capacity to monitor and protect early childhood nutrition.

This collaborative step is a key part of Bojonegoro’s journey toward a healthier, stunting-free future. Onwards together!

When we talk about food security, we often look straight at the farm. But true food affordability requires a systems view; one that bridges farmers, logistics, policy, and the consumer.

On June 18, 2026, the UID Learning Hub Jakarta was alive with cross-sector energy as we hosted the Philanthropy Sharing Session #62: “Making Healthy Food Affordable from a Policy Perspective,” in close collaboration with Perhimpunan Filantropi Indonesia (PFI), Center for Indonesian Policy Studies (CIPS), and PISAgro.

This session was a testament to the thriving BEKAL Pemimpin fellows ecosystem. It was an honor to have Insan Syafaat (Executive Director of PISAgro & BEKAL Cohort 1) deliver the opening remarks, and Ibnu Auzia (BEKAL Cohort 1) inject vital ground-level truths into the panel discussion.

Highlighting the complexity of our food and land-use systems, five critical realities took center stage:
- Systems over Silos: True affordability requires systemic coherence, balancing the needs of farmers, logistics, industry, and consumers rather than favoring just one side.
- Addressing Hidden Hunger: True security cannot be measured by calories or rice availability alone; nutrition and accessibility matter.
- The Cost of Food Loss & Waste: Systemic inefficiencies drain an estimated IDR 400–500 trillion per year—a massive gap we must close.
- The Future of Farming: With a projected shortage of farmers in the next 15–20 years, we must urgently make agriculture a viable, attractive livelihood for the next generation.
- Complex problems cannot be solved by one sector alone. It takes tri-sector collaboration—government, business, and civil society—to remodel our food ecosystems for a healthier, more equitable future.

Food Safety, Everyone’s Business

Today, on World Food Safety Day, the global community rallies under a simple yet vital truth: food safety is a shared responsibility. It spans from the smallholder farmer prepping the soil to the local vendor handling transportation, right down to the consumer at the table.

In Indonesia, this conversation has never been more urgent as we transition into the nationwide ex*****on of the Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG) program.

Providing nutritious meals to millions of school children daily is a phenomenal step toward eliminating stunting and boosting cognitive potential. However, from a systems thinking perspective, nutrition and safety are inseparable. A meal cannot be truly nutritious unless it is unconditionally safe.

Given the massive decentralized logistics of the MBG program, ensuring food safety requires building robust local ecosystems. This means establishing effective food control regulations, guaranteeing absolute access to clean water in school kitchens, training MSMEs in stringent food safety management, and creating agile emergency preparedness systems.

We believe that a happier, more sustainable future for the next generation relies on a reliable tri-sector alliance. Governments, the private sector, civil society, and local communities must collaborate closely to ensure our children receive meals that are both life-giving and entirely safe.

Let’s look beyond the quantity of plates served, and fiercely protect the quality and hygiene of the system behind them.

More than a decade after the Paris Agreement - the landmark international treaty aimed at limiting global temperature increase - was signed, the world continues to pump out greenhouse gases at a record pace.

These emissions mostly come from burning fossil fuels, superheating our planet in often disastrous ways.

The good news? Experts say humanity still has time to turn things around.

But it will take all of us.

Governments and businesses, because of their size and influence, must bear most of the burden. The world's wealthiest have a critical role too in addressing their carbon footprint — just 10% of the global population is responsible for nearly half of all emissions.

Between May 10–15, 2026, the Center for Future Knowledge – Happy Digital Transformation (CFK-HDT) team embarked on a field visit to Ngada, East Nusa Tenggara. In line with our commitment to systems leadership, we engaged in a sensing journey to listen, feel, and deeply understand the socio-ecological realities on the ground.

This journey builds on the Ostara Program and will continue conversations about transforming Indonesia’s food systems through a bioregenerative economy approach rooted in agroforestry.

In Ngada, more than 70% of the population relies on agriculture. Yet, the reality on the ground is highly complex. Communities are facing severe modern pressures: escalating land degradation and unpredictable climate patterns that diminish crop yields year after year.

Despite the immense global potential of Ngada’s distinctive Arabica coffee, we mapped several structural, systemic challenges:
•Post-Harvest Gaps: Limited processing capacity that leaves coffee quality suboptimal.
•Market Exploitation: Weak market access, leaving farmers dependent on middlemen with low bargaining power.
•Financial Fragmentation: Lack of access to long-term capital for smallholders.
•Institutional Cracks: Village economic institutions that require strengthening to manage the value chain collectively, transparently, and inclusively.

Amid these challenges, we witnessed an incredible counter-energy: farmers eager to innovate, village chiefs ready to activate local policies, and industry actors determined to bring Ngada coffee to the global stage.

To anchor this energy into long-term impact, the United In Diversity (UID) Foundation officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ngada Regency Government. Together, we are committing to a sustainable economic transformation that leverages local potential, beginning with a coffee agroforestry blueprint.

Systems change does not happen from a distance. It begins with the courage to be present, to listen deeply, and to co-create a shared future from the ground up. This is not the destination—it is only the beginning of a long journey toward public welfare.
