A delegation of Indonesian women farmers, representing the palm oil, cocoa, coffee, and rubber sectors, has raised their voices in London and Rome. Today, we had the honor to visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia and were warmly welcomed by Vice Minister Arief Havas Oegroseno.
During the meeting, we discussed the EUDR (European Union Deforestation Regulation) Roadshow, particularly on how the implementation of this regulation may significantly impact smallholder farmers.
We shared firsthand experiences from the field, including the challenges faced by smallholders in complying with sustainability and traceability standards. This dialogue is crucial to ensure that the voices of smallholder farmers are taken into account in international policy-making and diplomacy.
This visit marks an important momentum to strengthen collaboration between the government and civil society, ensuring that smallholders remain protected, competitive, and included in the global trade system.

Hari ini kami berkesempatan berkunjung ke Kementerian Luar Negeri Republik Indonesia dan diterima dengan sangat hangat oleh Bapak Wakil Menteri, Arief Havas Oegroseno.
Dalam pertemuan ini, kami berdiskusi mengenai Roadshow Regulasi EUDR (European Union Deforestation Regulation), khususnya terkait bagaimana implementasi kebijakan ini dapat memberikan dampak signifikan terhadap petani kecil.
Kami menyampaikan pengalaman langsung dari lapangan, termasuk tantangan yang dihadapi petani kecil dalam memenuhi standar keberlanjutan dan ketelusuran rantai pasok. Diskusi ini sangat penting untuk memastikan suara petani kecil tetap diperhitungkan dalam proses diplomasi dan kebijakan internasional.
Kunjungan ini menjadi momentum berharga untuk memperkuat kolaborasi antara pemerintah dan masyarakat sipil, agar petani kecil tetap dapat terlindungi, berdaya saing, dan tidak tertinggal dalam perdagangan global.
