🎶 ASEAN-Korea Music Festival: 2026 ROUND in the Philippines 🇵🇭🇰🇷

The 2026 ROUND in the Philippines will take place on 18–19 April 2026 at the Araneta Coliseum, Manila, featuring leading artists from ASEAN Member States and the Republic of Korea in a vibrant celebration of music and cultural exchange.

The festival has drawn strong public interest, with over 100,000 ticket applications shortly after balloting opened. Beyond the performances, side activities such as the ROUND Village and ROUND Music Forum will further foster engagement among artists and industry stakeholders.

✨ Organised by KBS World, in cooperation with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), under the auspices of ASEAN–ROK cooperation through SOMCA, and supported by the ASEAN–Korea Cooperation Fund (AKCF), the ROUND Festival continues to strengthen cultural collaboration and mutual understanding across the region.

The ASEAN-ROK Film Leaders Incubator 2025 (FLY 2025) united young filmmakers from across ASEAN and Korea in Busan for two inspiring weeks of storytelling and creative exchange from 4–19 September 2025! 🇰🇷🌏

From script to screen — 22 trainees, guided by expert mentors, created 4 short films that celebrate the power of imagination, teamwork, and cross-cultural friendship. 🎥❤️

As part of the ASEAN-ROK Film Community Programme supported by the ASEAN-Korea Cooperation Fund (AKCF), the Busan Film Commission (BFC) will host the 2025 FLY Film Festival to celebrate the works of FLY alumni. This year marks the 11th and final anniversary of FLY and the BFC look forward to commemorating this remarkable finale with the FLY Community.

The FLY alumni are invited to gather in Busan to reconnect and share their filmmaking journeys. FLY Alumni who wish to screen their films or participate in the festival are encouraged to refer to the guidelines provided.

I. Overview
○ Festival Title: 2025 FLY Film Festival
○ Date: 3 (Mon) - 6 (Thu) November 2025 (4 days)
○ Venue: Busan Cinema Center
○ Organizer: Busan Film Commission
○ Supported by: ASEAN-Korea Cooperation Fund (AKCF)

- Opening Ceremony and Networking Events
- Screenings: Short and feature-length films directed or produced by FLY alumni
- FLY Forum: Case studies and roundtable discussions with alumni and industry professionals

II. Key Dates
- Call for Entries and Application Deadline: 2 - 23 July 2025 at 18:00 (KST)
- Selection Announcement: Mid-August 2025
- Screening Copy Due: 1 September 2025

III. Submission Guidelines
Eligibility:
• Short or featurelength films in which FLY alumni served as key roles (director, writer, cinematographer, or producer)
• The film must have been completed no earlier than November 2012, following FLY2012
• Films that have screened at other domestic or international festivals will be considered

From Ideas to Impact: ASEAN-UK Symposium on the Development of the ASEAN Creative Economy Sustainability Framework, took place on 20-21 February 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, bringing together policymakers, experts, and practitioner to envision the development of ASEAN creative economy. The two-day event featured expert panel discussions and workshops focused on desired cultural, economic, environmental, and social outcomes that are envisaged for the ASEAN Creative Economy Sustainability Framework. The framework is a key deliverable under Malaysia’s Chairmanship of ASEAN in 2025, as well as Malaysia’s Chairmanship of the ASEAN Ministers Responsible for Culture and Arts (AMCA) for 2024–2026.

This initiative marks a key milestone in the ASEAN-UK cooperation through the UK Mission to ASEAN and the British Council, reinforcing the power of creativity as a driver for inclusive and sustainable development, as well as economic progress.
