Perpustakaan STP AMPTA Yogyakarta

Perpustakaan STP AMPTA Yogyakarta Forum Perpustakaan STP AMPTA Yogyakarta bertujuan untuk memudahkan komunikasi antara Pustakawan dengan seluruh anggota Perpustakaan.

Tujuan didirikannya UPT Perpustakaan STP AMPTA Yogyakarta yaitu untuk memberikan pelayanan informasi yang berorientasi pada subyek bidang Kepariwisataan, dengan beberapa subyek utama yaitu Pariwisata, Perjalanan Pariwisata, Perhotelan, Makanan dan Minuman, Seni, Budaya, Bahasa, serta Psikologi dengan maksud untuk membantu kegiatan akademik dan mempermudah proses belajar mengajar yang berlangsung

dalam lingkungan sivitas akademik Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata AMPTA Yogyakarta. Letak Perpustakaan STP AMPTA Yogyakarta berada pada sebelah barat gedung utama STP AMPTA dan bertempat dilantai dua yang memiliki luas kurang lebih 150 meter persegi dan terdiri dari ruang pustakawan, ruang baca, dan ruang koleksi. Sejak berdiri tahun 1998, Perpustakaan STP AMPTA masih menggunakan sistem manual dan pada tahun 2013 telah mengalami perubahan yang signifikan dalam hal otomasi perpustakaan, yaitu beralihnya sistem manual kearah sistem yang terotomasi dengan menggunakan program aplikasi perpustakaan yang berbasis open source dengan nama SLIMS (Senayan Library Management System) yang dirancang oleh Hendro Wicaksono, dkk. Disamping itu Perpustakaan STP AMPTA pada tahun 2013 juga telah memiliki dan mengonlinekan OJS (Open Journal System) guna mempublikasikan jurnal ilmiah "Media Wisata" dari para Dosen dan Mahasiswa STP AMPTA Yogyakarta dan bertujuan untuk kemudahan dalam hal pengelolaan jurnal ke dalam internet dan dapat diakses dengan mudah oleh para pengguna perpustakaan secara online.
