Kekhawatiran global terhadap perdamaian dan stabilitas di kawasan Indo-Pasifik menyusul uji coba rudal RRT!
Empat puluh satu negara, termasuk AS, Jepang, Republik Korea, Kepulauan Marshall, Palau, Filipina, Australia, dan Selandia Baru, telah mengeluarkan pernyataan bersama yang mengungkapkan kekhawatiran bahwa kegiatan uji coba rudal RRT baru-baru ini di kawasan Pasifik tidak mengikuti praktik standar yang diadopsi oleh sebagian besar negara untuk memberi pemberitahuan dan mencegah konflik terkait peluncuran ICBM, SLBM, dan SLV. Pernyataan tersebut menyerukan kepada semua negara terkait untuk berkomitmen berpartisipasi dalam pengaturan pemberitahuan dini mengenai peluncuran kepada negara-negara yang terdampak guna mengurangi risiko kesalahpahaman dan menghindari eskalasi ketegangan.
Selama Konferensi Pelucutan Senjata di Jenewa, seorang pejabat AS juga menyampaikan keprihatinan yang sama terkait pendekatan yang tidak bertanggung jawab dalam memberi pemberitahuan mengenai kegiatan uji coba ICBM baru-baru ini di kawasan Pasifik, khususnya terkait uji coba RRT pada 6 Juli terhadap rudal balistik berkemampuan nuklir yang diluncurkan dari kapal selam ke Samudra Pasifik.
Menteri Luar Negeri Lin Chia-lung menyambut baik pernyataan tersebut dan memuji komunitas internasional yang bersuara mengenai masalah ini, yang menunjukkan betapa pentingnya mereka memandang keamanan Indo-Pasifik.
Ekspansionisme militer RRT yang terus berlanjut serta penggunaan taktik zona abu-abu, seperti intimidasi militer, paksaan ekonomi, perang kognitif, serta pelanggaran wilayah udara dan laut, bertujuan untuk secara sepihak merongrong status quo dan tidak hanya mengancam Taiwan, tetapi juga mengancam perdamaian dan stabilitas seluruh kawasan.
Menjaga perdamaian dan stabilitas di Selat Taiwan dan kawasan Indo-Pasifik merupakan kepentingan seluruh komunitas internasional. Taiwan akan terus bekerja sama erat dengan AS dan mitra-mitra yang sependapat lainnya untuk menjaga perdamaian, stabilitas, dan kemakmuran kawasan ini.

美、日、韓、馬紹爾群島、帛琉、菲律賓、澳、紐等41國共同發布聯合聲明，關切近期太平洋地區的飛彈試射未遵循多數國家採行的標準通報及協調做法，呼籲各國建立透明且常態化的事前通報機制，以降低誤判及意外升高情勢的風險。
美方官員也在日內瓦「裁軍談判會議」中，對中國今年7月6日向太平洋試射潛射飛彈時，未提供充分且適當的事前通知表達關切。

Global concern for Indo-Pacific peace & stability in wake of PRC missile tests!
Forty-one countries, including the US, Japan, the Republic of Korea, the Marshall Islands, Palau, the Philippines, Australia, and New Zealand, have issued a joint statement expressing concern that recent PRC missile testing activity in the Pacific area did not follow the standard practices adopted by most states to notify and deconflict ICBM, SLBM, and SLV launches. The statement called on all relevant countries to commit to participating in arrangements for providing advance notification of launches to affected states to reduce the risk of miscalculation and avoid an escalation of tensions.
During a Geneva Conference on Disarmament, a US official also expressed shared concern with an irresponsible approach to notifying recent ICBM testing activity in the Pacific area, with regard to the PRC's July 6 test of a submarine-launched nuclear-capable ballistic missile into the Pacific Ocean.
MOFA Minister Lin Chia-lung welcomes the statement and lauds the international community for speaking up on the issue, showing the importance they place on Indo-Pacific security.
The PRC's continued military expansionism and use of grey-zone tactics, such as military intimidation, economic coercion, cognitive warfare, and air and maritime intrusions, are aimed at unilaterally undermining the status quo and threaten not only Taiwan but also challenge the peace and stability of the entire region.
Upholding the peace and stability of the Taiwan Strait and the Indo-Pacific is in the interests of the entire international community. Taiwan will continue to work closely with the US and other like-minded partners to uphold the peace, stability and prosperity of the region.
