Sounds like a great new music and herirtage festival near Drogheda - see below and for more information, Like the Rally of Lugh Longarm page:
Three day music and heritage festival celebrating the myths and legends of Co. Louth.
On the Saturday August 12th we have Ireland’s best Heritage Route, taking in sites connected to the land of Lúgh where the myths and legends of Ireland began. Visit the Mound of Darkness, the greatest example of Celtic crosses on Earth, the Mound of Ireland’s first Warrior Poet, see the stone that kept the mighty Cú Chulainn aloft in the Field of Slaughter, reflect with the stations at St. Brigid’s Shrine or even defy gravity by rolling up a magic hill. We have Free Passes to Newgrange and Knowth (where Buí, the wife of Lúgh is buried) courtesy of the OPW. A huge thank you to them for that. There is a Photo Fun Run taking in the idyllic areas of Clogherhead, Annagassan, Blackrock, Gyles’ Quay, Carlingford and Omeath in aid of the superb Malta Services Drogheda.
Sunday sees a parade through Drogheda from 2pm. All weekend we will have fun activities, stalls to haggle prices with, local craft beer and lots more. There will be LongArm Discounts to Boyne Boats, Drogheda Millmount Museum, the Irish Military War Museum and plenty of local information in our free booklet of places to see in Drogheda. For those in Drogheda, we have COMPLIMENTARY BUSES leaving from Bolton Square each day at 2pm, 5pm and 8pm and returning after the headline acts finish each night. There is also camping provided.
