Fastnet Trails , Ballydehob, Aughadown, Schull. Fastnet Trails was launched at Kilcoe Church Sunday , 28th June 2015 by Jim O' Keeffe, former TD.

This package of scenic walks for families and
enthusiasts lies close to the coast of Roaring
Water Bay and covers a total distance of 80km, from Lisheen in the east to Schull in the west. Our wish is to increase awareness of our natural and built heritage by packaging what this area offers into a pleasing, easily accessible recreational activity. A ramble along these t

armac backroads (and the old green butter road) offers the walker a unique tapestry of landscapes and seascapes, where every turn allows a fresh view of the heart of West Cork. Enjoy the abundant flora and fauna found along coastline and hedgerow. Connect with the past as you pass by a rich cultural heritage of medieval castles, churches and old burial grounds.

8 walks (6 looped/2 linear) are laid out and they start from four different Trailheads along the Mizen Penninsula. There are Trailheads at Lisheen, Kilcoe, Ballydehob and Schull. These walks are not strenuous, but as their lengths vary, choose a route to suit age and time available.
