This is a wonderful time to visit Garnish Island - make the most of the settled weather and pay us a visit before we close on 3rd November (last day 2nd Nov). Avoid the crowds and if you're extra lucky, you may even have this island paradise to yourself for an hour or two.

The Sea eagles have been spotted here this week too...

Eagle update: This year's Glengarriff white-tailed sea eagle chick has finally left home. Named Muireann, she hatched in late April and fledged in July. Since then she had never ventured far from Glengarriff Harbour until Storm Darragh seemed to prompt her to leave. Over the last week she has flown around the coasts of the Iveragh and Di**le Peninsulas, Co Kerry.

Her 2023 sibling recently flew in the opposite direction. He had been in Co Kerry for sometime but recently returned to West Cork where he is island-hopping.

2022 Glengarriff chick Cuileann is currently in the Kerry Biosphere, while 2020 chick and we**am star Sunniva is in Co Mayo.
