Garden entry FREE tomorrow 19th August to celebrate Heritage Week! Children’s nature art workshops will take place on the front lawn as part of the Ellen Hutchins Festival (weather permitting, the stables is Plan B!)

€5 entry into the House tomorrow, children free of charge!

The All-Ireland Coastal Rowing Championships kicks off in Bantry next weekend 14th-16th August!
Sure to be a good buzz around town.

Saturday 27th June-Tearoom and Garden open 10-5pm. House open 10-3pm. Garden only tickets from 3pm with limited Garden access due to afternoon concert.

2)A Happy Dog’s Diary by Rachel Leigh-White (Julie’s grand-aunt); a sweet little story written from the point of view of Rachel’s family pet!
3)Nora’s Story; Real life diary of Nora O’Connor, a local girl who worked here for Arethusa (Julie’s great-grandmother) in the early 20th Century.

Thank you Chloe and Valentine for all your hard work over the last two months! The girls were a wonderful addition to our small garden team, working under Brigitte’s direction.

Chloe and Valentine are first-year students in the School of Nature and Landscape Architecture in Blois, France and completed a two month internship here as part of their degree.

The girls worked so hard and had such a positive attitude-even while pulling out the brambles! On their last night, they came jiving and line dancing with me in Ballydehob! We all cried when I dropped them to the bus the next day 😢

Our B&B has been operating since 1987! Located in the East Wing (built around 1840), it is connected to the main House through the Library. What’s really special about our B&B is that in the evenings guests get to sit in the formal Library with a drink! Rates range from €260-300 for two people sharing. We also offer a single occupancy rate of €190.
Included in your stay is a delicious buffet breakfast with fresh fruit, yoghurts, cheeses and homemade scones with the option of a cooked brekkie too-pancakes, full Irish and more. Also included is a visit to the House and Garden with guided house tour if desired.
