🚨 Update 🚨

Phoned An Coimisiún Pleanála this morning for an update on the new deadline of June 17th for the Barrier installation in Blanch Shopping Centre.

It is still at inspectorate level and has not been put before the commission yet. Very welcome news that this will be delayed again due to the complexity of the case.

Next time it is viewed will be another month or two. We are still awaiting a proper sit down with the centre. They are now saying post decision.

Thanks everyone for the continued support on pushing back against our services being locked behind a pay-wall.

Did you know these are some of the following services / amenities will be hindered;
• Post Office
• Community Credit Union
• Dentist
• Doctor’s Surgery
• Draíocht
• Library
• Leisureplex
• Cinema
• PhoenixFM
• Daughter’s of Charity
• FAS / Intreo Office
• Citizen’s Information Centre
• Breast Check Services
• PACE Community Organisation
• Jigsaw Dublin 15
• Fingal County Council Offices
• Medical Centre
• Tusla Offices
• Court Services

And likely many more. These are services or amenities directly needed by the community to sustain the Dublin 15 community. Nobody in our community should be locked behind a paywall to access these.

The centre is looking absolutely atrocious at the moment. We need meaningful consultation ✅

Lovely chance to spin down to Explore Fingal ‘s Food Market in the Millenium Park, had a chance to chat to (on Instagram!) who are a brand new business 🙌🏼 (Sandwiches were YUM 🤤)

If you see them give them a follow and a bit of business, they’re so friendly, great quality and reasonably priced! 🥪 Same with all the vendors, I’m sorry I had breakfast earlier when there’s so much on offer 🤤

Well done to Mary McCamley Cllr Mary Mc Camley passing 2 important pieces in Fingal 👏🏼👏🏼

1. Ensuring that Sevesos sites in Mulhuddart / Fingal are kept to high standards and getting DFB in to explain the process of what happens if something was to ever go wrong

2. Passing a motion requesting another Garda Station for Tyrrelstown/Hollystown area. Blanchardstown has a population rivalling the entire county of Limerick, and has only 1 Garda Station.

Just wanted to wish all a happy Pride Month 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Pride started from protesting the treatment and horrific tragedies done to the q***r community and we have come a very long way, but we still have atrocities occurring globally.

Until we are all equal, none of us are. Pride is a time to celebrate the path taken by us and those who have come before, but to acknowledge that while we celebrate, others mourn and feel fear in the world we all collectively said “never again” in. ✊🏼

And, it’s vital that we protect those as allies, who are being targeted by politicians and figures who are creating distraction methods, smoke and mirrors to cover up their shortcomings and failures, or see division and hatred be wielded against the community as it once has. 🏳️‍🌈 🏳️‍⚧️

I’ve linked the pride parade below in the QR code but truly there are so many amazing q***r centred artists, workshops, trainings, events, etc. going on this month. Absolutely do some digging to find the hidden gems! 💎

As I look back on the RTÉ Exam Blogs from students sharing their experience I see another bunch of amazing young people sitting their exams.

It’s always important to highlight that these exams are not representative of a person’s worth, capabilities or future potential.

I sincerely wish the very best to all students taking their exams this year.

Absolutely colossal congratulations to Corduff FC celebrating their 50th year last night in the Pillo Hotel in Ashbourne ⚽️

“Luck is when preparation meets opportunity”

It’s evident that Corduff FC is founded on a community wanting the best and pushing for it. It’s much more than a football club. It’s decades of hard work, determination and grá.

Congratulations to all the award recipients and committee for such a successful and touching evening.

Had a great day out on the doors with Cllr John Walsh yesterday and then stopped off in Pure Indulgence Café for some scones and an iced coffee 🥶 despite the rain.

Then a huge well done to everyone who made Safer Blanchardstown Festival in the Millenium Park yesterday despite the elements working against us. Great to see so many businesses and community groups up, and ready to go 🌧️

I think yesterday showcased the grit and determination that our community has that no matter how hard the rain falls we will always get up, show up, and not give up 🙌🏼 Wonderful to see so many public reps present like Cllr. Angela Donnelly as well.

Just wanted to say an absolute massive thanks to the team in Anicare Veterinary Group in Blanchardstown Village for looking after our (not so) little fur baba today during a little emergency.

Team was absolutely fantastic and treated Miss M with compassion, care and lots of patience. Our little patient is resting for the evening with lots of cuddles and totally not tugging the heartstrings for extra TLC 🐶 🐾 🥓
