Slow down, sharpen up and learn a skill that belongs in the landscape.

Join experienced instructor Chris Hayes for a practical Scything Workshop at Russborough on Sunday 9 August, exploring the history, rhythm and technique of working with a traditional scythe.

Across the day, Chris will cover safe and efficient mowing, body positioning, sharpening, tool care and biodiversity-friendly grass management. A grounding day outdoors, with a timeless skill to take away.

Room to wander. Our walks and trails are made for slow mornings, sunny afternoons, dog walks, buggy walks, head-clearing walks and those “we’ll just do a quick loop” walks that somehow turn into coffee afterwards. Take your time. That’s the point.

Russborough is a charity, and every visit helps care for the parklands, house and collections for everyone who comes here.

A little lost, in the best possible way. Our beech maze is one of those Russborough favourites that never really gets old, whether you’re racing to the centre, pretending you know the way, or quietly enjoying the fact that someone else has taken charge of directions.

Come for the maze, stay for the parklands, café, shop, tours and all the other good reasons to make a day of it.

Russborough is a charity, and every visit helps keep the house, collections and parklands open, cared for and full of life.

The Grand Tour is for people who have been here before and want to see a bit more.

It goes deeper into the house, the architecture, and how everything connects: the building, the art, and the landscape.

It’s a different way of looking at Russborough.

Every Saturday, The Grand Tour offers the chance to discover new stories, details and perspectives that often go unnoticed on a first visit.
