The event celebrated cultural diversity by bringing together local organisations and families in a welcoming atmosphere. We were delighted to take part in Go Purple Day, organised by An Garda Síochána in partnership with domestic abuse services across Ireland.
A sincere thank you to the Gardaí in Boyle for bringing everyone together for a peaceful walk through Bluebell Woods and refreshments at Ardcarne Garden Centre in support of this important cause.

If something has made you feel unsafe or controlled, you deserve support.

It is okay to take up space, have a voice, say no, ask for respect, and be seen and heard. It is okay to set boundaries, trust your instincts, prioritise your safety, want healthy love, and expect consistency. It is okay to rest without earning it, make mistakes without shame, outgrow what hurt you, and choose peace over chaos.

The saying ' It takes two to tango', can be misleading when applied to relationships that are abusive.

While it might describe ordinary conflicts, in abuse it wrongly suggests the person being abused shares the blame.
