The climate agenda is another way of taking 'more of your money and your freedom'
Direct Democracy Ireland are predicting that Climate lockdowns disguised as Covid-19 Lockdowns will become the norm after the drop in carbon emissions during the draconian lockdowns left greeniac activists in no doubt that more draconian lockdowns will save the planet as long as we ignore and dismiss the human suffering caused by these draconian COVID rules.
Following the publication of what can only be described as the irrational and aspirational Climate Bill by the Government in order to virtue signal to the greeniacs, a series of ridiculous actions have been triggered in an effort to enable the country’s first five-year carbon budget come into force later this year – including agreed sectoral cuts in emissions up to 2025, meaning more taxes and hardship for the ordinary people of Ireland, in reality these measures will have little impact on the environment, astonishingly the so called opposition are claiming the Climate Bill doesn’t go far enough with Brid Smith of People Before Profit stating “The reductions targets of 51% emissions by 2030 massively falls short of what science is telling us we need to achieve by then”, Sinn Fein’s Lynn Boylan said her key focus on the bill will be holding Ministers accountable for targets; a correction mechanism to ensure targets are met if slippage; and adequate just transition measures, Both Brid Smith and Lynn Boylan and made these statements with the support of their parties knowing the targets are unrealistic, and with no journalist willing to challenge the narrative, people like these can make these types of statements unchallenged to pave way for the exploitation of "another hyped crisis"--climate change.
Direct Democracy Ireland Leader and Spokesperson Pat Greene on this said “we need to be realistic, it is irrational to think we can reduce our emissions by 51% in 9 years without overtly damaging our economy and our people, we are all concerned about the environment and can agree we need to play our part, however this type of pandering by our elected officials is counterproductive, our targets should reflect what will be achievable in a safe and sensible manner, I would go as far as saying this, they know the targets are unachievable, however they won’t allow common sense get in the way of a good story.
Government sources have said the bill includes specific emissions reduction targets, which make it stronger than the original draft, meaning even more unrealistic. Apparently, it commits to both "pursue and achieve" carbon neutrality "no later" than 2050, which they say is a strengthening of previous language. The bill will also set out the creation of five-year 'carbon budgets', but we in Direct Democracy Ireland are calling their bluff and predict failure but know of the people involved in this will be held accountable, this is all just about virtue signalling a common ply imbedded in Irish Politics Pat Greene added Carbon neutrality by 2050 is impossible to achieve.
I know many won’t want to hear that and it may come across as negative but take the draconian lockdowns as an example when the roads were quiet, air traffic etc was at an all-time low, we reduced our emissions by just 6% how can we reduce it by another 45% in 9 years, and by 100% in 29 Years, it is very obvious the powers that be are willing to mislead in order to look good.
