Promises to be a good event. County Carlow Military Museum (CCMM) has been a consistent supporter and event organiser in County Carlow for Heritage Week over the last number of years. Carlow County Council Carlow Public Participation Network - PPN.

The County Carlow Military Museum will hold its Military Show on Sunday May 24th from 10am to 4pm.

The annual show which has grown in size and visitor numbers over the last number of years has to be one of the must attend events in Carlow this summer!

Hosted at the museum grounds, in and around the museum which is located in the Old Church on the Athy Road (across from Caredoc) this one day event will feature a range of military vehicles from WW2 up to present times, militaria displays, weapons displays, personal collections as well as scale modelers to name a few.

There will be a host of living historians/enthusiasts present in period dress and equipment. For instance last years show featured enthusiasts exhibiting artifacts, displays and costumes from the Battle of the Boyne, 1798 rebellion, American civil war, Boar war, WW1, WW2 and almost anything and everything in between.

We invite you to join us on the day. If you haven't been its a real treat, a family friendly event where you can get up close and personal with history and will no doubt come away having learned and experienced lots! If you have been then we're sure you will attest to how fantastic of a day it is and if so, please do spread the word.

There will be refreshments available on the day also and a small admission charge to enter the show area/museum but we do recommend you come early as it tends to get busy!

If you have a collection you would like to exhibit on the day please do get in touch! If you would like to visit in period equipment or costume then please do, we are always fascinated by the very niche and fantastic historical enthusiasts that visit us on the day.

Look forward to seeing you on the day! :D
