Mayo County Council has taken an important step towards reducing carbon emissions by rolling out electric, rechargeable gardening equipment to staff across all Municipal Districts.
The initiative replaces traditional petrol-powered tools with modern electric alternatives, including hedge cutters, strimmers, leaf blowers, chainsaws, and lawnmowers. The move is part of a wider programme of measures being implemented by the Council to reduce emissions, improve air quality, and meet national climate targets.
