📢 We’re Hiring – Staff Grade Psychologist

The Family Centre, Castlebar is recruiting a Staff Grade Psychologist to support the development of a psychosocial service for forcibly displaced populations across the West of Ireland.

This role will work within the Refugee Psychology Service and wider Social Inclusion Team, supporting people including Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection, International Protection Applicants and Programme Refugees.

A 6 week Mindfulness course will begin on Monday 14th of September in Castlebar. This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone who has been interested in learning or developing some supportive and beneficial practices.

This course will take place at the Family Centre Castlebar, from 10.30am until 11.30am. This is a drop in class so you are welcome to come along to one or all classes.

The cost is €3 minimum, and if you would like more information please contact the Family Centre;

A huge thank you to the Islandeady Walks Group for their very generous donation of €400 to the Family Centre, raised through their recent Darkness Into Light inspired walk. 🩵

We are incredibly grateful for the support and generosity of everyone who took part and contributed. Donations like this help the Family Centre continue to provide important support to individuals and families in our community.

The Family Centre, Castlebar is pleased to host safeTALK, a half-day su***de alertness training programme delivered in partnership with Breaking Through.

safeTALK helps participants learn four key steps to identify people who may be having thoughts of su***de and connect them with appropriate su***de first-aid resources.

Are you a compassionate and dedicated psychologist looking to make a meaningful difference? The Family Centre, Castlebar, is looking for a Psychologist, Staff Grade, to deliver comprehensive psychological and psychosocial services to forcibly displaced populations.
About the Role: You will focus on addressing the complex psychosocial needs of these groups through a holistic, trauma-informed approach, encompassing:
Psychological assessment
Therapeutic intervention
Consultation
Wider psychosocial support
Who We’re Looking For: A registered psychologist with a strong commitment to supporting displaced populations. Experience with trauma-informed care is essential.
